Black rtv is just a good all around silicone.I have been using black for years with good results where oil or water is involved.Ultra black and ultra gray are better for high pressure and red and copper are best for high heat. This is the same rtv that comes in some fel-pro gasket sets, just in a very small tube.

Very solid drying silicone for most auto jobs.Works great on the china rails on Ford and Chevy small and big blocks.I have used it on oil pans and valve cover gaskets and have never had a issue. I buy it buy the case because the parts stores are much to high, I keep it in the house so it will last much longer due to temp being controlled.

Best sealant/ adhesive on the market!!

I use it mainly to weather proof electronic devices on electric bikes I'm building (ebikessf.com), especially to seal around electric cables where they come out of enclosures. This stuff is very sticky - bonds to almost any surface, flexible - doesn't easily crack, doesn't conduct electricity - I use it on circuit boards. However it is toxic, use it in well ventilated areas, wearing respirator is a good idea, definitely wear cloves, this stuff gets under the skin and is really hard to wash off.

I was hoping this would show up the external plastic gas tank on my tiller. It continues to leak. This is not a recommended practice buy this product however
