what is a good but free software to use

Knowing which type of software you are looking for would help better answer the question, but there are two main needs: design and slicer. For design, I use Fusion360, which is free for hobbyists and had plenty of youtube tutorials. For slicing, personal preference comes into play, but Cura seems to be the most popular for Sidewinder owners. There's also Prusaslicer and Ideamaker, both free.
