If you are looking for a little convincing on this watch, let me help you out. First of all, this watch is gorgeous! From the second I put this watch on, I can't stop looking at my wrist! In public, I have had several strangers ask me what I'm wearing. So while there are more expensive watches out there, they not catch as much positive attention as this one. Another thing to know about this watch is that, while being fun and exciting, its still very classy. You can easily wear this watch with a shirt and tie without the watch looking out of place. But, enough about the style. As far as the quality of this watch is concerned, its exactly what you expect from an upscale watch. The watch, while made of sturdy metals, is not very heavy. The detail inside the dial is just astonishing. Its like every time I wear this watch, I notice something new that makes me appreciate it even more- such as the jewels behind the central wire mesh! I have noticed many people complain about the rubber strap. I have a normal size wrist so I do not have any problem putting this watch on. While some may claim that the rubber strap makes the watch look cheap, I would argue otherwise. The black rubber band has a nice matte look that accents the dial fantastically. In fact, I don't think the watch would look as nice if it had a metal band or some other alternative. The rubber is also comfortably made. So when you put on this watch, it fits perfectly to your wrist without any discomfort. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.PS. If you are a guy who values brand history, just know that this watch was worn by Will Smith in MIB 3. Except his was the silver on black style. Also, this is a limited edition watch that was made to commemorate when Elvis wore his Ventura.

Horrendous watch, it absolutely nothing to do with the original Ventura. To start, the watch has a Quartz movement, contrary to the original movement on the real Ventura. Hamilton should be ashamed of themselves to create such horrible monster watch.

Love the watch but HATE the length of the watch band – TOO SHORT!!Keep in mind I am NOT 6’5” 300lb and it almost cut off my circulation on my left arm (see photo for details). It is so tight that the pin that hold the watchband broke loose when bend my waist. For almost $1k on this watch, I would have thought it has better craftsmanship.If you have big hand/arm, think twice BEFORE you buy this watch (or try it before you buy).

The Hamilton Ventura XXL is a nice watch but probably not an everyday watch (not for me anyways). It looks rather over the top, which to me is true to the spirit of the original Ventura. It is definitely not a small watch, and would probably not work out if you have a very small wrist. Also as some others have said the finish is very high polished, which is not bad to me, but the images sometimes make it look a little dull compared to the actual thing. The back window on this watch is a nice touch as is the screen on the dial. Also seems to keep time very well. Overall I am very happy with the watch and would buy it again, my only complaint is that it could have been just a bit smaller...Also check out the images I added for a better look at the dial and movement.

I've had this watch for about 9 months now. A Christmas gift from my kids. Every day I wear the watch, I get a compliment on it. What type of watch is that? Who makes it? Unique, comfortable, and accurate, thus far. I'm surprised how comfortable the band is. The shape is fantastic, and seeing the movement is nice.

I love it, it was on my front door the Monday before the delivery date Wednesday. 2013Went to Ben Bridge jewelry and asked to look at the Elvis Anniversary watch and it was the same thing.Thank_You Thank_You very much....ha, ha.lionel

I believe to be all I thought. The band is a little hard to get off because of the rubber to rubber contact. However it is actually a lot easier to read than I thought.
