Yay! I feel like I've finally found it -- the perfect hummingbird feeder! I've been feeding our hummingbirds year round for more than a decade, but this year the yellow jackets and bald-faced hornets have been so bad that we literally haven't been able to enjoy our yard and deck. Not only that, but our poor hummingbirds have had to fight for their food with the bees, and most have been chased away and moved on. :( Despite my other feeders having "bee guards", the hornets still managed to get their heads in far enough to get to the nectar. When I saw this one on Amazon I finally had hope that our hummingbirds might be able to eat without being disturbed. Well, these feeders are TRULY bee proof!! The openings for the birds' beaks are thin little slits -- far too narrow for bees to get their heads into, and the openings sit just far enough above the saucer inside that holds the syrup that they wouldn't be able to reach it, even if their heads did fit in the slits. It took the hornets about three days to stop swarming around these new feeders and guarding them, until they finally figured out that their sweet treat supply was truly gone. Since then, the hummingbirds can sit on the perch ring and feed completely undisturbed! I'm so happy to have found these feeders, and even happier that they were so reasonably priced! Also, they are a very sturdy and compact design, and very easy to take apart to clean and refill. I also really like the 16-oz size; it's just right for the number of hummingbirds we have. My only small complaint is that I wish the reservoir were made of glass, rather than plastic, but I still completely recommend this product and give it five stars! If you want a TRULY BEE PROOF hummingbird feeder, look no farther! This is it!

I had one of these that I'd found at a yard sale and was looking for more and found them here. Very happy with my purchase, which was a pack of two. These come in three parts that are easy to clean under a running sink, and the mouth of the receptacle is wide which makes cleaning the interior where the food is kept, easier to clean. All sturdy plastic. I take these down once a week to sanitize, fill, and put back up to ward off disease for the hummingbirds that come to my three feeders. I've been able to take some phenomenal pictures by attracting them to my yard with these feeders. I would recommend purchasing a sponge type cleaner for the interior of the containers and relegating it just for this purpose of course. Enjoy. I'll probably order two more next year for a total of 5. Each container holds about 2 cups of liquid, probably more like 3. I'll try and remember to verify and edit. So far this week, I've had to fill my three feeders twice. Yes. Twice. I like these for their wide mouth, simple parts, ease of cleaning, and perch. A perch is important to humming birds, and they don't care about fancy other parts. This is also better than the more expensive glass one I once had that was knocked down and broken to pieces by a bear. Of course a bear is going to get these, but at least you're far less likely to get cut cleaning it up.

4 days after I put a hummingbird feeder up it was over taken by ants and wasps, so I went looking for a feeder that stopped that and found this one. It works perfect! Less than 5 minutes after I hung it up the hummingbirds were already at it and spent the day feeding off and on. They really like the perch! They stay longer when they can perch. The wasps also found it but they could not get inside of it. They crawled around then left. If you spill ANY sugar water on the outside of the feeder, it will attract wasps no matter what, so try your best to not spill any on the outside of the feeder. The opening is wide enough that this shouldn't be an issue. It also doesn't leak whatsoever so that's not an issue either. The ants also found the feeder, they crawled down the rope but the moment they hit the water in the moat they went right back up. So I changed the rope to fishing line and now they cannot get to it at all because ants can't climb fishing line. Problem now solved and now the hummingbirds can feed in peace and the contents of the feeder will not be contaminated by insects. I highly recommend this feeder! Hang it with fishing line and don't get any sugar water outside of the feeder and there should be no issues. They definitely cannot get inside of it whatsoever which is the point of being bee and ant proof - they can't get INSIDE of it. It's leak proof, sturdy, and easy to clean. I love it. Win-win!

I purchased the set of 10 oz glass hummingbird feeder. The size is just right. I can see how much sugar water is left. It is easy for me to wash the glass hummingbird feeder, which is durable. The feeder has three parts: hanging base, glass container, and the liquid base container. I disassemble it before I wash it. I assemble it when I refill it. It takes a little time. I make sure the parts are secure before I hang it. There is no leaking, and the parts are still intact. The product comes with a cleaning brush. The cleaning brush is stiff, and I don’t use it. I use the other brand’s cleaning brush.

The only thing I wish is if they could be cleaned in the dishwasher

Loved the small size. I can just put a cup and a half of nectar in at a time which is the perfect amount in this very hot weather here lately. I clean it and replace the nectar every three days. Also, the hummingbirds find it user friendly. Can’t ask for more than this.
