my rescue dog has had a horrible itching an dry skin problem for months. i have tried diet an allergy meds etc... all to no avail. even the vet prescribed meds didnt do much. well i tried this vets best shampoo and bam. stopped 75 percent of the scratching on first bath. he has had his third bath in three weeks an now hasn't scratched at all for three days. it has been amazing the transformation this had. he is much happier an more energy. coat is super soft n shiny too. NOTE.. when i clicked on my previous order to review it now says i cant get this shipped to my address. south west commiefornia. it is available at several of my local pet supplies so I'll get it there i guess. but give it a try because it just did what a few hundred bucks of other stuff couldn't do ,including the vet.no odor either... i couldn't be more satisfied.

Best itch dog shampoo I have ever used. It works! Along with vacuuming and good quality food. Smells great.

Excellent my dog coat smells good soft and less itching

My dog has sensitive skin and going out in the grass irritates it even more. The product works. Her coat is shiny smooth after a bath. There’s no chemical smell. There’s no residue left in her coat. I think she itches a lot less now since I’ve been using this shampoo on her. I think it is a little overpriced, but I’m not found a cheaper one that works yet.

I expected this to help with my dogs itching. Unfortunately, after a couple of uses, I saw no change. I will be returning it. It smells ok but it doesn't last more than a day. It does lather and clean well. My main concern was the itching and a longer lasting smell.

Pleased with purchase

I have a highly allergy sensitive white boxer. He gets Cytopoint injections to help reduce his allergy reactions. In addition to that, I've been using VetOne's Ketohex Shampoo which unfortunately is no longer available on Amazon. I did some research and found that although this shampoo doesn't offer the antifungal properties, it is made with a combination of natural ingredients that I was interested in giving a try. It's only been a few hours since his bath but he has itched much less than he was before his bath. The shampoo is a clear formula. I read reviews about it's scent and not leaving a "wet dog" smell like others do. I can say this was probably one of the highlights in making this purchase! Usually, my boy has that smell for quite a bit after his bath and even leaves the bathroom smelling like it also. Not with this stuff! No lingering smell! Looking forward to seeing how this works on him long term.

I could not give this product a five-star review. The shampoo does work and it does help soothe your dog's skin. The problem is it is only for a day or two and their skin goes right back to itchy

Overall a pretty good product, helpful with relieving itchiness for my dog. The smell is herbal -- minty and eucalyptus-like. Doesn't lather all that much but we all know lathering doesn't do anything -- it's just an ingredient added to make consumers feel they're "cleaning." I bought this for my senior dog, who was suffering from severe skin rashes, yeast buildup and sores. He was allergic to grass -- I say "was" because just weeks later I had to put him down :( This shampoo helped make his last weeks more comfortable. Immediately following each bath, I noticed a significant reduction in scratching and paw-licking. Unfortunately his health had deteriorated so badly, nothing could've really saved him but at least this provided some relief. I would recommend this product for dogs with sensitive skin and/or allergies. There are lots of strong chemicals out it's not really a far stretch to imagine some of these chemicals might have adverse effects on dogs -- especially smaller ones considering their weight relative to the concentration of pesticides, etc. My old dog's paws would flare up especially after a round of grass treatment outside my apartment. I have used other brands of shampoo and I can say this is one of the best out there. I used harsher shampoos that promised to wipe out dermatitis but I always felt a little bad putting my dog through such treatments. This brand of shampoo is more gentle, but equally effective. Dog smells much better after a wash, without that artificial smell you get from commercial shampoos. Product arrived in a timely fashion. Nicely packaged. Would buy from again.
