Not sure why they say three brightness levels. If one depresses and holds the on off switch one can continuously adjust the lamp brightness from full on to about 1/4 brightness. It is an excellent approach IMO.The "poor" adhesive is, in fact, an excellent adhesive product. It is 3M VHB tape. Look it up online. I have used this adhesive before and it will adhere tenaciously to a clean, smooth surface. Let me repeat CLEAN and SMOOTHYou must do a proper job of surface prep with denatured alcohol or some such. You can forget about it sticking to a textured sheetrock wall covered with water base paint. Might last for a little while but is going to fall off. If you must adhere to a wall you need to figure out how to provide a smooth base, some glass, smooth tile, varnished wood or the like. A nice finished headboard would work. In this sense the mfg is a little misleading in their write up.Have not determined battery life yet but if it is anything like a similar lamp I purchased from Taotronics, here on Amazon, the lamp will burn for hours and hours . At its dimmest setting it can last for days. You can also leave it plugged into the USB if you like. Works fine while plugged in.

The design is very rustic and flatters all styles. The light has several usable modes that offer different modes for different applications. Very good usage for a book light. The design has a very good magnet and the swivel is amazing.

I am impressed by what it can do, so the higher then usual (bed light) pricing give or take can be justified.A few things of notePros:-It's really tiny, 5inches. that's smaller then most phones-It's fairly bright, and ha a good range on dimming-It's laminate/plastic and not wood obviously, but the detailing is good enough to pass any close inspection-All the charging ports, power button and indicator lights are well thought out so decor can be maintainCons:-It doesn't have a charging adapter and the usb-C cable is pretty short. For wall type bed light, it won't be enough-The touch button is very very sensitive. This isn't an issue for a bed light as you're probably never get near it unless you want it on, but it's not going to be a very good flashlight.-The light is white/daylight. About 5800-6000k. This will annoy anyone who is used to yellow light as a bedlight.TLDR:If you want daylight temperature, this is a pricey but well decor product. If you are used to orange lighting, do not buy, the pros don't outweight the con's, and you just won't feel comfortable.

This is the first product I've purchased on Amazon that I felt the urge to write a review. When I chose this light, I really didn't expect to like it this much. This light is so much better than I expected. In person it is even better looking. It is very light. The magnet is strong and the ball base allows it to be rotated. It has a touch on/off. It can be installed with double sided tape (included)! This is amazing. It's the perfect size. Man this light puts out a lot of light. I can't wait to start using it!

For the following reason, in particular one cannot come with an a close proximity of the power button, whatever it might be called (because it powers on without actually touching it) without turning it on. It’s too sensitive. If you come too close to it, you turn it on but it’s not a sensor. It’s almost as if a button But if you swipe over it close enough to it, it turns it on even when not intended. We . We saw on a camping video on YouTube and thought this would be great. Maybe it’s just not for us. sometimes you don’t want to turn on the light when camping is not to draw the wrong attention or to someone. We did get this on a flash deal and still consider a waste of money to sensitive and will not even bring it with us.

I was hesitant to purchase because of reviews that the lights did not stay attached to the wall. That has not been my experience. These work so well in our travel trailer. We started with one as a test, and have purchased 2 more. We needed reading lights by the bed. They easily detach to use as a night light to get to the bathroom in the wee hours, and can be rotated and dimmed to provide an accent light. We have traveled with them attached for 1200 + miles and they are going strong. Love they can be recharged and used over and over again!Highly recommend these lights

This light mounted easily and moves well and I have had no weak magnet problems like I have read some other people have had with these types of lamps but the light is not the brightest but is sufficient enough especial if you give your second for your eyes to adapt. My main problem lies with the color of the led. I'm not sure whos choice that was but unless you are laying in a morgue in a 1980s horror movie its not exactly cozy. Also this wood choice looks kind of cheap. I would opt for the Walnut although I haven't seen that in person.

Seriously, I debated getting these for months for my sons’ bunk bed, they needed light to read their books before bed and lamps next to the bed were not providing good enough reading light. I finally purchased one and quickly purchased another after we realized how fantastic they were! Easy to charge and operate. We love that they are dimmable and move around to face the light just where you need it. Very quick to install and will be buying them again for extra light in my camp trailer! Worth it!
