Great product! Has become a must-have for travel.
I have never used an external battery charger before, and now I'm wondering what took me so long to start. This product is fantastic and it works exactly as described...even better! (I have regularly received 4-5 charges for my iPhone5, whereas the info about the product says only 3-4 charges per full charge on the battery.) Charging is straight forward using the USB port (I've charged an iPhone 5, 5c, 6 and iPad 4), and the charger is small enough to carry in my back pack with my laptop and other devices. My wife recently carried this in her purse on a field trip where our daughter watched movies on the phone while they traveled, then my wife took lots of pics and uploaded them to Facebook etc... Her phone wouldn't normally hold a charge all day with that kind of use, but with this battery, she didn't have any issues. This battery is perfect for long trips, especially long flights, where charging stations can sometimes be few and far between but where you are using your device for long periods of time. Charging your device doesn't take much time at all, less than two hours to go from 0% to 100% on my iPhone 5. The only drawback (if there is one) is that the battery takes a full 8-10 hours to get a complete charge, and when it is charging, the blue lights on the case are VERY bright (don't charge it in the room in which you are sleeping!). Overall, portability and reliability are very good, charging speed is more than I expected (on the phone) and the product is easy to use. Indicator lights let you know exactly how much juice is left in the battery, and the universal input makes charging (the battery) available, almost anywhere. After a couple of months of use, I can highly recommend this product.

Best external charger ever!
I was given a cheap external charger that was awesome, for one charge. Then it died, but I realized I needed something to take to a conference, to keep from being one of the people hugging the walls and the few outlets to be found. Orange is my favorite color, and I wanted to make sure that I didn’t let that influence my decision, so I spend time looking over my options. After much review, I purchased this charger. I am SO glad I did. It has yet to fail me. It is small enough to fit in a pocket in my purse, so I almost always have it with me. I say almost because my son has borrowed it on occasion when his phone isn’t charged, and he loves it so much he’s nagging me for one. Although I haven’t had to use the flashlight often, when I have needed it, it has provided a decent white light that, while probably not useful in apocalypse situation, has been adequate for the situations at hand. It has had enough power to charge both my nook and my phone with one charge, although I try to keep it charged, so I’m not sure how many times it would charge either before needing to be plugged in. It also holds a charge pretty well, as I don’t charge it unless I’ve used it, and I’ve yet to find it drained (as in, any bars lost) from sitting around. My daughter LOVES to play on my phone, and it has been very useful for when we are out and about and she is draining my battery (no more driving home in the dark with only 4% on my phone!) I will be purchasing another, and recommend this to everyone who asks. I wanted to add to my review. It's now December 2017, and my charger is still going strong. My daughter has dropped it several times (3?), and, while the white plastic on the bottom is cracked and half of it has fallen off, the charger still works perfectly. I'm now using it about once a week, since my phone doesn't stay charged all day, and it seems to work as good as when I first purchased it. I also like that I can charge my phone while I charge the charger, as I a) have been to a hotel that had only one plug near the bed, but wanted to charge both and b) I was gifted a charger that seemed great, but you could either charge or be charged, not both, and I found I missed that option. Just wanted to update.

This is the best portable charger I have seen so far.
The Pros: Charges your iPhone or iPad Mini...FAST. Performs multiple recharges of an iPhone before needing to be recharged itself. Portable enough to fit in your pocket. Can use your device while it is charging it. Recharges itself rapidly so you have backup power quickly. I have been able to recharge this portable charger WHILE charging my iPhone. Cons. I'm thankful there is only two. Even at that, they are minor. Albeit a little bulky and weighty, it's still very portable. You have to switch it on when you plug your device in to charge. If you don't, you are not charging your device. I have not charged a full size iPad with it yet but it is a 2.1amp charger so seeing the way it performs on the other two devices I cannot think that it wouldn't be as equally as awesome with it. I like that I can keep it plugged into an Apple Cube Charger into the A/C outlet in the console of my SUV and it stops recharging itself when it has reached capacity. That way it's always fully charged for when I need it. I also leave the Apple Lightning cable plugged into the Jackery Bar so that I can just grab the Lightning cable, plug it into my phone, and switch it on when I need to recharge. Then if I have to leave the vehicle while it's still charging, I just grab the Jackery Bar, tuck it into my back pocket. I can even be on the phone while I do all of that. I work outside all day and use the heck out of my two iOS devices. The phone needs to be recharged about ½ way through the day and the Jackery Bar is the perfect solution. If I'm sitting in my SUV taking notes or talking on the phone, I used to just plug into the SUV's USB plug and charge the phone. But I was forced to stay in the SUV until I had recharged enough to go back into the field. Most of the time I had to go back to the SUV to charge up some more. That kept me tied to the SUV even though I needed to be in the field. The Jackery Bar solved all of that. The lightning cable is plenty long enough to allow me to leave the charger in my pocket and talk on the phone. This charger is so well worth the money. I highly recommend it to anyone with a smartphone or tablet.

Works really great, just a bit bulky...
Whether out with friends, at a music festival, using social media or entertaining myself at work, I have applications running on my iPhone constantly, which of course runs down even a full battery pretty easily. I bought this portable charger specifically for the long nights out or long days at fests where plugging in and staying put was hardly ever going to be an option. I have to say that it worked just great! First day at a festival, it easily brought my iPhone from under 10% to about 70% in about half an hour (which was enough charge for the rest of the fest so I unplugged it to put back in my shoulder bag). This portable charger also recharged my iPhone on the go much quicker than even my iPad wall charger does when used. The LED light is a handy feature, though I can't say that I have had, or would aticipate having, a time when this charger was the only device available to me for such a need. Perhaps to find my dropped phone on those long nights out? I think the outside design of this product, compared to others I have seen or used is much move conducive to carrying with you in pockets or small bags, as opposed to the more rectangular, flatter-but-wide rechargers I have used. I only have two complaints (andI use the term loosely): One - thought it does fit in your pocket, it is a bit bulky/heavy to carry around with you if just leaving in your pocket. Of course, any design that can hold and give charge the way it does may require some bulk/weight to work this well, but just be prepared to feel it in your pocket and probably have to have it out of pocket when connected to your phone. I also purchased a different brand that was smaller and lighter, but did not charge my phone nearly as well. Two - it does not come with any device-specific cables to connect to any phones/devices, so be prepared to purchase any cables you might want to dedicate to using with it (such as a short USBsb/iPhone cable, etc.). Maybe not the first choice if lightweight is your preference, but the design, the solid build and even the color choices help make this a stand-out product.

Great Battery Pack
Update: Jackery battery looks great and works great. My original was dropped several times on the hardest of floors and continued to work. Always charged well, and held a good charge. I needed to buy another of the same battery only after I plugged in my phone with the cable hanging out of my pocket which caught on the counter and pulled the usb connection out of the battery (my complete fault). If taken care of it lasts and lasts. Product works great so far. I charged it using the charging cord that came with the battery pack (plugged it into my wall charger). It was fully charged the next morning (did not keep check on it to see how long it took to fully charge). I carried it around for about 3 days then my Samsung S5 got to about 20 percent power, so I plugged in the Jackery battery pack and continued using my phone constantly for hours, and was amazed that it not only kept the phones battery from depleting further, but was charging my phone. It seemed to charge faster on the Jackery battery pack than it usually does plugged directly into the wall charger. Works perfect so far, again I have had it about 4 days and used with great success one time. If it lasts for a year it will be well worth the price. It came in a heavy duty box, packed well, with charging cord. I chose the orange color and it looks great and of very high quality. Highly recommend product.

Saved my Vacation
My phone is my camera. I have an iPhone 5S and I use it to take pictures. However, as everyone with a smartphone knows, taking pictures destroys your battery. I bought this for a trip abroad when I knew I would be taking pictures by the ton. I was very very impressed with it's performance. It literally saved my vacation a few times. Pros: -Charged my iPhone 5S 2.5 times if I started charging it on 30%. Very very impressed. -Keeps its charge for a long time. If I'm not using it, it still has charge. -Works with anything with a USB. iPhone, iPad, 3DS, Bluetooth keyboard. I used it for everything. -Discrete. Not that you need it to be, but still. I got this instead of a battery charging case because I didn't want my case to be bulky when I wasn't charging my phone. With this, I just slipped the Jackery into one pocket and my phone into the other. My charger cord is long enough that I could still take photos and forget about the Jackery. It's small enough that I was able to just use it and forget about it being there. -Automatic. Probably my favorite feature. When my iPhone was done charging, the Jackery would turn off-- saving left over energy! Cons: -Overnight charge. If it's down to one blinking light, you aren't going to charge it in a few hours, even with an iPad charger. You'll really need the overnight. So make sure to check to see how much battery you have. I grew to be dependent on this little bugger. A day without it would have been terrible. -The charge cord for the Jackery is very small and I've misplaced it once or twice. I've found it in the end, but just make sure to hold onto it. Any mini-USB works with it, so it would be easy to replace, but who wants to do that.

Excellent charger, compatible with Apple products, and most everything else.
There are many battery packs out there right now, some are cheaper to buy that the Jackery, but I've found this one to be a good value and does what it says. You can get about three charges of your iPhone with one of these. Not only that, I've used it to charge my iPad Air, my Beats headphones, and anything else that uses USB power. It takes a long time to fully charge the unit, about 6 hours, but not unless it's completely discharged. There are three blue lights on the side to indicate charge status. If you've only drained away one of the lights, then it doesn't take all that long to recharge it. There is also an LED light built in, which is very handy in dark places, like when your rummaging through your bag in the dark aboard and airline, or in your car, etc. It's not a particularly powerful beam of light, but it's adequate and doesn't seem to drain the battery hardly at all. There is only one cable that comes with this -- to charge it up. Two ports on the side are all it has -- one is a standard USB socket, and the other is a mini USB port to charge the unit. Jackery does not include a charger. You're supposed to use whatever you have -- i.e. an iPhone charger, iPad charger, or anything like that. I have several of those, so it wasn't a problem, but you need to know that you'll need one if you buy this thing. I went with the orange color, since black just disappears inside a camera bag in the dark, and I wanted it to stand out. The construction is high quality -- well made, and appears solid. The anodized case is smooth and almost slippery. I've now purchased three of these battery packs. One for myself, and two others as gifts. I tried one form another company initially that a friend of mine purchased using a GroupOn deal, and it turns out it was incompatible for iPhones. Beware of the really cheap chargers out there that may have the same problem. This one works fine on everything so far.

Works well - for a year
UPDATE July 2015: I bought this14 months ago. During the first 12 it worked flawlessly. In June it began having issues with the input port for charging, sometimes it would work, sometimes not. Now it's done. Batteries would still be fine I'm sure, but the input port just wore out, it will no long grasp the connection. It worked for the life of its warranty though, I can't deny that..12 months no issues -------------------------- Original review: I cannot say enough how handy this thing is. So long as it lasts a good while itself, this could be one of my most useful purchases in recent memory. Being a bike guy, I frequently hit the road out of town - let me tell you finding yourself in the middle of nowhere on the freeway with a dead cell battery is a huge fail. With one of these in the saddlebags, I cruise worry free. I also use it on a daily basis to recharge my phone just because of its portability (my phone isn't stuck in one place while recharging) and its speed of recharge. (at least it SEEMS to recharge noticeably faster than other standard methods, I haven't actually timed it). I use this both on an iPhone 5s and a Galaxy 3, no issues on either. This unit itself does seem to take a good while to get back to full charge, but not so much so that it causes any problems. Plug it in overnight if you use it once or twice for recharges and you'll likely be fine.
