Forget the cool little lighting feature....This tarp is one of the BEST I've gotten off of amazon ever. The only change I'd make would be to add Beastee D rings instead of the standard little nylon D's it has currently. It's light weight (without the lighting) & well made with no signs of stitching flaws or skimping. Now, the addition of the lighting does add weight, for all you ultra light gram counters. But, one, you can leave it all behind, two, it's cool factor is off the chart. If your not a gram weenie, it's really not that much extra weight, AND, the cool factor is off the chart! You Dig. Forgot to mention, the cordage supplied is very good quality. Not cheasy throw away cord. I almost always toss the cordage that comes with my tarp & replace it with higher quality, but I did not with this one. So, in summary, Dollar for dollar, & ounce for ounce (lol) you can not do better than this rainfly for your hammock or any shelter use outdoors. Oh...plenty of coverage for an 11 foot hammock.

I was impressed with the quality and all the little extra provided with this kit. There are many options to hang the light strip with since there is both Velcro on the tarp itself along with Velcro hangers provided. The tarp is good quality. I got this for my husband and plan on buying at least one more light strip since you can connect them. The only thing that would make this better is if an extra light strip or power bank was included. But if we’re being honest most of us have multiple power banks so that’s not really an issue. I would buy this again.

This tarp did its job. The only issue I see for other users is the worthless lighting system. Its requires you to supply the battery pack and unless you have a wireless battery (not likely). To operate it you would need to unplug it or turn on/off with a switch. Well if you are in a bug net this is not really possible without a lot of work. buy this for the awesome canapy not the light like I did. I could have purchased the same strength tarp for less without the light for a better price.

I initially got this because I was intrigued by the LED light. It turns out that you need to purchase a power bank (and I have more than a couple) and use that to power the LED light strip. Even if I don't want to power the LED light strip this is still a great little shelter. I wish the instructions were a little more comprehensive. It took a little messing around the first time to figure out what all the parts are supposed to do. There is a white pouch that I assume was to hold the LED strip because there's already a small pouch for the tarp poles and string. Like all packable camping gear, pay very close attention to the way it's rolled up into the transportation pouch so you can get it all back in there when you're done using it. It would have been great to have seen some pictures in the product offering showing the various ways this can be used. Like I said, it's more versatile than I originally thought and I'll be taking it to the lake this weekend to show to the rest of the family. Yes, in ND and MN, we refer to any lake as "the lake."

Super cool canopy! My husband is in love with this. It’s very easy to set up as well. We just bought a camper a couple months ago and this is a staple to bring with us. The added lights are a great feature for sitting outside after dark and still being able to see everything.

I just hiked a section of the Appalachian trail and I will say this rain fly is nice, however, when it pours the water drips through the seams at the top so I had to put an emergency tarp over my hammock for better protection. the lighting was nice, but not that dripping water.

Great rain fly. The light strip and set up puts it over the top! Awesome product. The amber light was perfect brightness and I even fell asleep with it on and it didn't bother me sleeping.

Good length and very lightweight material. All the accessories that come with it fit into the one bag that the tent goes in which keeps carrying things to a minimal when camping. Love that you can use the light strip under the tent to read or put them into the white carry bag to use as a lantern when needing to go somewhere in the dark.
