This was fast shipping at a great price. It’s approved and used at local farmers markets. It’s easy to charge, remove the cord and it’s portable. This scales makes me money . It has bright numbers and easy to see from the front and back. It holds a charge and has never failed me at a five hour Market.

Works very well, still learning the settings but for using it in food service its good. Battery life is well as long as you turn it off. Keep out of direct sunlight. I work doing pop ups and its done the job with good reading. I wrap mine in wrap to keep surface cleaner but still wash properly afterwards. Im just like that.

Very good scale for the $$$. Stainless, two displays, rechargeable battery, easy to use. This scale gets a few bad reviews for sharp edges - but they don't cause problems if you exercise normal caution. I don't know what the "longevity" of this scale will be. Some reviewers have had problems - and you don;t know how they treated the scale. Maybe it's not rugged enough for some treatment. The action and display are rock-solid with my drifting or ambiguous readings. Powers up instantly (unlike one scale we had that took a few second to 'boot". Lots of great features. Bottom line: a lot of scale for a few bucks!

I got mine as an open box special from Warehouse Deals, Inc. on Amazon. There was no manual, but I found that all the paperwork on this scale is downloadable from webstaurantstore's website (they are also an Amazon Marketplace seller who sells this model). As several other reviews have mentioned, the battery door does come open ridiculously easily. It is made of very flimsy plastic and the heavy battery rests on it. The small hook on the door that should snap into a receptacle to hold it shut is poorly molded and slides easily out, releasing the door and the heavy battery, which bends and damages the contacts. The door is a bit loose and simply tilting the scale slightly causes the door to open. I think a bit of rubber wedged into the hinge side of the door will solve that problem. I may just use some silicone caulk to seal it shut. The aforementioned website sells several spare parts, including a replacement "battery box" for $12 and I'm trying to find out if that resolves this manufacturing defect. The manufacturer's website contact form is inoperable, as is their contact email address. Other than the faulty battery door, the scale seems of good solid quality and worked right out of the box. Will update my review if I find out more about the battery door or if my fix works. Please post if you've found a good solution to the battery door problem. I hate to use duct tape as it is not a sanitizable surface.

We are market farmers and rely on our scales to be functional. We purchased our Torrey scale in 2022 to be our "extra", meaning that it really only got used when our other scales were occupied. None the less, we still take it in to be certified as required by our state for legal trade and market use. To make a long disappointing story short, our Torrey did not pass certification this year because it is a half pound off. This is a scale that rarely seen use. After finding their home site I found that they only have a 2 year warranty. I tried to reach out and file a claim anyway, I figured maybe we could work something out to get it fixed or anything really. It has been 3 month at this point and I have still yet to hear from anyone who represents the company. It does make a very good, overpriced, shiny paperweight. Good Luck!

This scale had a few irritating features that caused me to buy a different one. Fairly often it tended to flicker between two values for the weight, and so the price would also flicker. The manual addresses this issue, suggesting to re-power it. This worked sometimes, didn't others. The fact that it is in the manual suggests that this is a constantly recurring issue and one I was not willing to accept as normal. Two other minor problems for me: The sheet metal edges are sharp along the bottom side where I tended to pick up the scale. I had to be careful to not cut myself each time I moved it. Second, the platform has four bosses attached to the bottom. These set inside of four rubber mounts when placed on the scale. There is no way to slide the top around to get it to settle into the rubber gaskets, so you have to tilt the top and carefully align them (as I said, a very minor issue). There are some nice features for this scale including the large platform, very nice! This scale measures only in pounds. I would have liked to be able to measure in ounces as well. For those of you considering this scale, there is a way to get the measurement in ounces if you do not need the price computing feature at the same time: simply set the price to $16.00 which means $16 per pound which is also the number of ounces in a pound. Now when you weigh an item the price field will show the weight in ounces (also set the P-pack to keep the price between items). Similarly you could set the price to $454 to have the price field read out in grams. There may be some loss of resolution with this method, but it is a fast and easy work-around.
