Waste King Removable Garbage Disposal Sink Splash Guard

This did NOT fit my older model Waste King Legend Series 9980 with the 3-bolt mount. It was too small. (See my review of Waste King Part 1046AMC which DID fit; the review has pictures for reference.) I did not reduce rating stars for this product because it's not the product's fault that it's not made to fit my disposal. It otherwise looked like it was well made, arrived on time, and was packaged safely.

Fit perfectly!

This was not compatible with the Waste King 8000 as advertised. Too big

This is a high-quality item made by Moen. It is made from fairly soft rubber that bends freely, and allows both food and water to pass easily. It snapped right into my Waste Maid disposal and works perfectly. It is far superior to the original, and suffers from none of the numerous problems that the original had given me after just a few months of use. The original measures 3.42 inches (87mm) in outside diameter; this replacement is 3.31" (84mm) inches OD at the bottom. The original was kind of hard to remove and reinstall and always felt like it was an indistinct fit; the replacement pops in with a soft, positive click and stays put adequately.

Most of the negative reviews are from people who bought the wrong one, including me. Before ordering, take a look under your sink at how your Waste King is mounted. If the mount is mostly metal and has 3 bolts then this will fit. However If the mount is mostly black plastic (EZ Mount) then this one will be too big. You need WASTE KING/Moen part #1025, also available on amazon. Kinda frustrating that the mount isn't mentioned anywhere in this item's description.

We recently redid our kitchen and the old insert for the garbage disposal was in sad shape. This is a perfect replacement, it's very sturdy, may hold the water in the sink a bit right now but it is breaking in nicely. Sometimes it's the little things that make you more satisfied with a project.

Perfect fit for our Moen garbage disposal. Easy to install good value for the money quality product.!

So easy to install and fits all sizes of standard kitchen sinks. No more food flying up from the sink when we use the garbage disposal.

Replacement of existing splash guard

Does not fit the waste king 111. The product title on Amazon indicates this is a waste king accessory. On the actual product packaging it does not indicate this is built for waste king. After doing some research, I think you need Moen part #1025, as opposed to #1016 (this product). I hope the vendor is able to provide a refund or replacement (Moen #1025) as this product is not for waste king.

Wrong size.

This product indicated that it for a Waste King Disposal but it does not.
