LG UltraWide 49WL95C 49 Inch Curved Monitor 32:9 Dual QHD IPS HDR10 and USB Type-C, Black

I use this monitor with my 2018 Macbook Pro. There was an initial problem with the MBP recognising the full 5120x1200 resolution, but a recent update from Apple seems to have addressed that problem and I can now use the full resolution without having to resort to using it as two monitors. I love the fact that I only need a single cable to connect the monitor to my MBP and the monitor also powers the MBP. It makes for a very neat solution and easy docking between working at my desk and working on the move. It's a bit pricey, but I love this monitor.

Great monitor for editing. Flexible, wide and lovely. Only things, sometimes it says monitor will go on standby due to period of inactivity even whilst am using it. I have to touch a button to stop it sleeping. Also, the auto ambience is not so great with room lights. Other than that, lovely monitor! Dont understand why delivery takes so long though, but overall, I am happy with it so far. It's a little pricey too...

I got first dead pixel in the exact center of the screen (the most annoying place) after 1 week of using it. Another in the left upper part maybe few weeks later Luckily Im on Linux with dark backgroud and mostly terminal work, so this is not that visible, but having regular system with normal floating widows would make me furious. Another annoyance is popup in the right center of the corner showing in the right top corner for few seconds. If you have your status bar on the top, monitor is sleeping and you hear totification, when you move your mouse all notification will be covered with stupid popup informing you about meaningless nonsense like your cable port. Before you see the notfication, it will disappear as popup stays too long. This is infuriating. Then you need to start your email, your Skype, your Teams, your whatever, to see who and where wrote to you. Wouldnt buy it again. No chances.

Ziel: neuer, großer Monitor (vs. 2) für das Büro Ich habe für das Projekt lange, lange recherchiert. Es gab so viele pro und contras für diverse Modelle. Am Ende waren nur noch der LG und ein Samsung zur Auswahl. Da das Ziel aber "Arbeit" vs. "Gaming" sein sollte, und Macuser vs. Windowsuser- war die Entscheidung dann klar. Der Monitor ist jetzt seit 6 Monaten im Einsatz. Das Fazit sollte jetzt valide sein. 1. Optik: hell. Persönlich hätte ich einen dunklen schöner gefunden aber das ist nicht ausschlaggebend für die Qualität. 2. Verkabelung: LG hat hier keine gute bzw. schöne Lösung bereitgestellt, die Kabel können nur mit einer Klemme am Monitorfuß entlang befestigt werden. Da hingegen hab ich schöne Alternativen bei der Konkurrenz gesehen, wo die Kabel z.B. im Monitorstand verschwinden. 3. Krümmung: ist hier weniger stark, hat mir tatsächlich beim Gaming Monitor besser gefallen gehabt. Aber ist so auch in Ordnung. 4. Anschlüsse: relevant für mich als "Arbeiter" war der USB C Anschluss. Hier kann ein Macbook oder iPad oder anderes Gerät direkt verbunden werden und wird zusätzlich geladen ohne einen weiteren Ausgang zu belegen. 5. Menü: die Menüführung ist einfach, gut durchdacht 6. Software für zwei Monitore und Splitscreen: ist in Ordnung, Apple hat eigene Software und je nach Maus/Keyboard ist hierüber auch eine Steuerung über beide PC's möglich (MX keys für mac und Windows Rechner) 7. Monitorknopf: schlecht gemacht, ist hinter dem Bildschirm und nicht drunter. So muss man 100% immer Aufstehen (oder Menschen mit kurzen Armen, so wie ich). 8. Bildqualität: nichts zu bemängeln (für meine Zwecke) 9. Lautsprecher: bessere Qualität als erwartet bzw. haben überhaupt einen eingebauten Lautsprecher 10. Helligkeit: gut, und mit diversen Einstellungen änderbar z.B. Lesemodus Ich bewerte hier den Monitor unter "alltags" Bedingungen. Arbeit, von Exceltapeten über Emails, zu Graphikprogrammen etc. bis hin zu Film schauen. Ergänzend habe ich eine Screenbar (für Licht) und Tastatur/Maus MX von Logitech für den einwandfreien Wechselmodus zwischen Mac und Windows im Einsatz. Da ich nicht gerne mit zwei Monitoren arbeite, ist dies für mich die optimale Visualisierung am PC. Missen möchte ich den nicht mehr.

En un principio estuve a punto de devolverlo porque mi MacBook Pro 2018 con chips intel y versión de software macOS Catalina (ultima versión 10.x) no lograba la resolución máxima y se notaba la imagen poco nítida. Pero justo salió el MacOS Big Sur (11.0) en beta, lo instalé en un disco APFS en paralelo con Catalina como ultimo intento antes de devolverlo, y magia... arrancó sin problemas a la resolución máxima de 5120x1440. Incluso funciona perfecto en modo doble monitor (con el interno de la Macbook en mirror y como contenido separado). En cuanto al cable USB-C provisto, funciona perfecto con la Macbook y además tengo la Mac cargando desde el monitor perfectamente. Por cierto, Big Sur en beta me ha resultado perfectamente utilizable, sin bugs que haya detectado, así que he abandonado Catalina, y estoy disfrutando al máximo de mi LG ultrawide a su máxima resolución. Sonido: suena más nitido y agradable el sonido de los parlantes internos de mi MacBook Pro que los parlantes de este monitor (que suenan como dentro de una lata, y el sonido sale hacia atrás más que hacia adelante), por lo que si esperas sonido de calidad, necesitaras otra fuente. Ademas para MacOS hay un problema. La única forma de controlar el volumen del monitor es con la poco práctica perilla trasera. Sin embargo, no todo está perdido, he instalado el programa *Monitor Control* que le da la habilidad a la Mac de controlar el volumen del monitor. Un parche, pero funciona perfecto para quien quiera usar el audio del monitor. En cuanto al monitor en si, es pesado, pero el pie es sólido e increíblemente permite ajustar la altura e inclinación sin mayor esfuerzo. La imagen de calidad como los monitores LG nos tienen acostumbrados. Solo tener en cuenta que siendo el monitor tan grande 5000 Pixels son necesarios para una imagen clara. Pero las letras no se ven con trazo tan fino como directamente en la Mac. Pero en cuanto a brillo y color es un excelente monitor, super conforme con eso. Lo volvería a comprar.

Monitor gargantuesco di dimensioni spropositate. Luminoso e definito con un ottimo angolo di visuale. La qualità costruttiva è elevata e lo stand è decisamente bello. Per funzionare richiede molta banda. Su Mac ho dovuto usare un cavo DisplayPort 1.4 per risolvere tutti i difetti.

Ecran magnifique je le recommande pour les dev et ops. SEUL BEMOL : - il faut avoir assez de recul car sinon vous serez obligé de tourner la tete à gauche est à droite si vous utilisez la totalité de l'écran. - le mode papier n'est pas top top. sinon excellent produit.
