Warm thick
Fits to size. Can walk by a candle now with no issues. I like it. I am tall but wouldn’t get a long. This size is perfect length. The only thing is it seems a darker gray and pics seem lighter but it will fade. Great jacket, happy.

Awesome coat!
I wanted a coat that would keep me warm, move with me, look good and last a long time. I didn’t need the flame resistant but the way the coat looked I had to get it. I have no complaints. I will say this coat runs large. I always were an XL in everything but this one I had to return for a large. The large fits me like a glove with room to layer if I need too. I’ve already had a couple people ask where I got it.

Warmest winter coats I’ve ever had!
This is by far the warmest coat I’ve ever owned. I have lived in MN, ND and Sask my entire life and been in miserable temperatures for at least six months of every year my entire life. This coat is by far the warmest, most durable, keeps the wind chill out and flexible coat I’ve ever seen. From shoveling and snowblowing to working in the oil field to watching games at the rink, you can wear it anywhere and be warm and comfortable. I own three of these jackets. Two blue and one gray. One for working in the oilfield and the other two for every day life. They are very worth the money you spend on them as you don’t need to wear three layers under it to stay warm!! Just a long sleeve shirt and your Carhartt FullSwing coat! Highly recommended!! A++++

Bad ass modern day John Wayne jacket!
I didn’t need the fireproof aspect but I do grind, smoke, and work on cars on occasion. I burn more clothes working, through winter, in my garage next to my propane heater then anything. More or less bought it for durability, warmth and because the seams and pockets are pretty stylish but still manly. In my opinion, It’s the perfect balance of style and practicality. That’s hard to find these days. There’s something very John Wayne/firefighter/gunfighter about the look which is why I pulled the trigger. :) I live in the Midwest and upon arrival this jacket is plenty warm for working outdoors. Added to a base layer and a heavy weight hoodie you’ll be sweating and anything more and you’d be sweating and then freezing. Maybe it’s not warm enough for sitting still in a Midwest tree stand in January but plenty warm for active use. You ain’t wearing it inside long that’s for sure. Anyways, listen to the mass: Make sure you size down. I did and honestly still have plenty of room for a heavy weight hoodie. Arm pocket rocks too! Everyone says the zipper sucks but it’s metal and it seams okay to me upon first arrival.

If you are skinny it fits very lose
My measurements for chest and waist are 38/31 respectively which puts me in the M size. The coat fits a bit on the loose end in some areas, but fits well in others. I believe if i went down one size I would run into some areas being to small. This could hamper mobility, and working on a rig that is a no go for me. The take away from this story is it's a vary nice jacket, it just wont fit you well if you are very skinny.

Great jacket for the blue collar person!
Great jacket and very warm, it does feel a bit heavy to wear but the job it does is unbelievably! Was just in 16 degree snow and barely felt cold, actually sweating. Inside is very plush and comfortable. Construction was perfect and I ordered the snap on hood as well. Definitely worth the purchase. Does not move around while working.

It's the same Carhartt durability, but what happened to the hand pockets?
I've lived in Carhartt jackets for most of my life. They're very nice, durable, heat and cold resistant, but this time, when I tried it on, and looked for hand pockets, they weren't there. The pockets have been moved up to under the rib cage. I almost can't reach them. Is this for when the wife steals it because she has shorter arms? Because that does happen. I must have gotten the wrong model of jacket. I'm keeping it, it's just going to be harder to keep my hands warm.

I remain unburned
The jacket looks rather dashing and the fire resistance came in super handy. I was walking downtown and noticed smoke billowing from an old brick building. I heard screaming children from inside and I knew immediately that there was a fire raging in there. I did not hesitate and kicked the old wood door in, sending splinters flying. That was a mistake. As the door burst in, the sudden inflow of oxygen caused great gouts of fire to blast me back. The hungry flames licking wildly. Fortunately for me I was wearing my Carhartt FR Jacket and was completely unfazed. I laughed and was emboldened. My confidence soaring, I ran headlong into the building. Through the fire and flames. Suffice to say, I was the only survivor with not so much as even a heat rash. I sat comfortably in the inferno as those orphans screamed and cursed the fact that the didn't have my Carhartt FR Jacket. 10/10 would recommend!
