Love these clippers! Great price and function really well!
Let me count the ways in which I love this set of clippers! My husband and I treat our dog like a spoiled little baby, and therefore we don't particularly like using professional groomers. We don't like the idea of dropping him off at the groomer's for the day, and we know he would be super anxious and bark up a storm without us. We do have some mobile groomers in the area, but they have mixed reviews, and when we did use one, our dog was very anxious during his cut. So instead my husband and I decided to attempt the impossible -- purchase clippers so that we could do our own dog haircuts! I am so glad we purchased this set of clippers. Not only are they relatively cheap ($30 vs. a couple of hundred dollars like some of the other sets cost!), but they have been working perfectly for a couple of years. The set comes with a pair of scissors, which are helpful for getting some spots that can't really be clipped easily, like around the paws and around the face/eyes, and the clippers themselves come with multiple guards, for different length cuts. The blade is pretty quiet and it did a good job of not scaring our poor little guy away. While the clippers do get kind of warm eventually, I think they last a good 20 minutes before I start to feel any warmth and that's enough time for some good grooming (of course, if you need more time, you can let the device cool and start back up again after about 5 minutes). I would definitely recommend these clippers for any doggie parents who want to give their pups haircuts right at home!

Good for the price
I bought this because my American Cocker was badly overdue for a grooming. I've cut her hair on my own once before, but the clippers weren't very good to begin with and they stopped working after that one time. I had gotten her from a shelter and they did a botched job of a haircut. They basically just cut out the mats she had which left her with really long strands of hair in some places and in some places it being really short. She literally looked like she lost a fight with a lawnmower. All I basically did that one time was shave her completely down because there was really nothing else I could do with that horrible cut she had. I took her to the groomer's twice since then. I spent just as much for one trip as I did for buying these clippers. The groomer does a decent job, it's just that she never understands what I mean when I explain how I want her hair cut. I like her hair long and I do what I can to maintain it. My dog has never had mats since I've had her. In other words, I don't just take her to the groomer to get her shaved down or a puppy cut. When I take her to the groomer, she always cuts it too short or doesn't cut it enough. I think my hair cut for her looks pretty good for having very limited experience cutting dog hair. (Although, I've cut people hair many times, so it's not so different) I basically shaved down her back and chest, kept her head and legs long, but trimmed it just a bit. She looks really cute and I think the clippers did a really good job in the amount of time it took. Last time I gave her a hair cut, it took twice as long and she had a lot less hair then. I also liked the fact that it included multiple combs so I was able to blend the short hair into the long. And the scissors were really sharp. Better than hair scissors I've bought for $5+. The clippers were strong enough to keep up with her really thick fur. However, I feel like they were good enough for this job, but if I had decided to do all of her body they wouldn't have held up. Toward the end, they weren't cutting as well and I had to set it to the coarse hair setting to cut the last bit around her neck. And had to remove the comb I had attached to cut the hair that grows on the sides of her face. The noise level of the clippers was tolerable and understandable. My dog wasn't afraid of the buzzing at all. However, when you switch the clippers on, it makes a really loud "snap" sound. I feel like this noise is what startled my dog because after so long she learned that noise meant it was coming at her soon. I became aware of it too when I saw her jump at the switch. They also get really hot after so long and I had to switch to scissoring the long bits and took two other breaks to let the clippers cool down. I'm sure the heat effected their performance because when they weren't working as well anymore, I stopped and oiled them and it made no difference. (I also oiled them before I started using them and when hair got stuck in them about a 3rd of the way through) I can't imagine how anyone could cut their pet's hair in 15 mins, like I read someone say. I also do not think they would ever hold up for a large dog. I found the manual to be completely disorganized. It went from how to cut the head to blades to how to groom horses, then Schnauzers, then the taper lever, then how to groom sheep, then Spaniels, then safety, then poodles then how to groom the stomach and legs. (or something like that) Also, to clarify another review the lever that supposedly made her hair cut really uneven, is the taper lever. (If she bothered to read the manual she would know that.) It moves the blades to different angles in order to give a closer cut without the use of a comb. I found this to be more of a high and low setting rather than any difference in the cut. This is also explained in the short DVD that I found to be very helpful. (Much more so than the manual) Although, the DVD went through the different breed styles a bit too quickly and would've liked to see the breeds in the title menu instead of just the poodle. In all, I would recommend this for someone who is wanting to cut hair on a small animal. It's suitable for thick hair, but not long jobs. It would probably be a good idea to keep up with small and short hair cuts rather than do one big job. Those with little experience are provided with good resources in the kit, if you utilize it. It's a very decent clipper for the price and I like all the extra bits in the kit. Here's a big question on the kit though, what on earth is that hand mirror for? (Stuck that in my purse for me (: )

Basically the generic corded wall clipper with a dog logo and genuinely garbage quality control
Out of the box the clipper seems like the blades are dull and not in any way different from those meant for human hair. This managed to lightly pinch my puppy by pulling on some hair even though it was while using a half inch guide. I later looked at the sharpness of the reciprocating metal bits. Not only did it seem to be only partially lapped rather than completely (and thus could not have been correctly ground sharp at time of manufacture ), the screw holes or screw posts are misaligned so that it’s impossible to correctly position the cutters square with each other. This implies either 1) process failure in their metal machining setup or 2) some reliability issue in one a) injection molding b) parts assembly c) plastic machining My pretty old and under maintained cordless wahl that I’ve used myself for nearly a decade trims her way more gently. Granted I’ve sharpened it a few times Also in less than the time to trim a 20lb dogs coat it got uncomfortably hot in the hand. Though that’s gonna be true for any brushed dc motor that doesn’t actively blow air over the motor within the case. About as loud as you’d expect a brushed motor to be. Disappointed with this product.

Too loud, scissors are cheap, heats up, but cute well for behaved dog
Dislike: how loud the machine is, the cheap quality of scissors(you have to start your cut ALL THE WAY BACK of the scissors to have a smooth cut, if you don’t it will cut but you’ll have to do multiple cuts), also the machine heats up if you have it on for long Like: easy to hold(the machine, the scissors, and plastic comb), all the guards seem to leave a good cut result(although I wouldn’t REALLY know as this is my first time owning a dog and therefore first time grooming a dog at home, but regardless the cut turned out good, aside from some minor easy improvements for next time(like missing some hair in ears 😅), the oil seemed to do the job, the comb did its job in finding knots when brushing with it, REALLY THANKFUL the machine has a LONG CORD(even tho first time grooming at home our dog was fine after been using it first on their legs, like the instructions said, then work up, so by the time we got to his head, he was much calmer than before than when I tried 😅 to start at his head)

From the first day it has too much noise with burning smell, become hot and after sending request for returning, no answer from them! they are not responsible for the device that they are selling

Very disappointed with this item. Firstly, it had a US plug on it and wasn't compatible with 240v UK sockets, so we had to buy an additional transformer. Then once we'd bought that we plugged the item in and it was so noisy our dog fled. Perhaps it was broken, I don't know but it was extremely loud. Un-usably loud. My husband has Wahl clippers for his hair and they are of a much higher quality and are very quiet. These looked as if they could be fake.
