Update: I changed the review from 1 Star to 5 Stars
UPDATE:I changed the review from 1 Star to 5 Stars for excellent Customer Service. After I left the review about the bad capacitor, the company reached out to me and apologized for the bad experience and they offered me a free replacement capacitor or a full refund. I requested a refund since I had already bought another capacitor and installed it. The company immediately issued the refund and said it may take a couple of days to process. Well they issued the refund yesterday and I got a notice from my bank of a pending credit. Since I didn't contact TemCo directly to complain, they reached out to me and gave me a full refund - no questions asked. That is excellent customer service. I would buy from them again, knowing that they stand behind their products.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Only lasted 4 months - Stay away from this brand:I read mixed reviews, but thought I would try my luck. I used it replace an older pool pump capacitor that was probably 5 to 8 years old, but still worked fine. Not knowing exactly how old it was, (we bought the house 4 years ago). I wanted to replace the existing capacitor with a new one, as preventative maintenance, so it wouldn't suddenly burn out on a hot summer day, here in Arizona. Well, that is exactly what happened with the new one. Two days ago, the temperature was 110 degrees and the pump wouldn't start. It made a loud hum when I turned on the switch. So I know the motor was getting power and trying to run. All of the right size capacitors online were at least 2 days for shipping. I could not find what I needed in any local stores. And I dreaded the thought of stagnant water in 110+ degree weather. Fortunately, I was able to find the OLD capacitor that I had replaced. I swapped out the new TemCo capacitor with the old one, and the motor instantly started and has been running fine.I believe in doing preventative maintenance, instead of fixing something after it breaks. Well, this time I made a big mistake by buying the TemCo brand. If I had not saved the old capacitor which still worked, I would have had a real mess on my hands. This time I bought a Genteq (previously GE) which is a top of the line brand and doesn't cost much more than what I paid for the TemCo. I'm keeping the Genteq as a backup, ready for a quick replacement when needed in the future.Compare other brands and stay away from this one. You can do better.

Good fit for pool pump
It arrived promptly with packaging in good shape. It measured exactly 30 uF. It was a perfect fit for my 30-year-old Pentair pool pump, which still had the original US-made capacitor. The Temco capacitor is Chinese-made (of course); we’ll see how long it lasts.

Installed and Starts Without a Glitch!
I order this Run Capacitor for the 2-HP Hayward Northstar pool pump, the pump makes humming noise but would not run, online information suggested that the capacitor malfunction. So I order this one with the same specs but the part number didn't match due to different manufacturer. This one I ordered has the best price and Amazon Prime offers two-day free shipping. Received the part right on time (two days), despite the weather was hot and humid in Texas, the pool didn't turn green in two days without the pump running. It took me two minutes to install this thing, I did prime the pump with a hose before I turn on the switch. Pump starts and run without a glitch. I gave a 4-star rating for quality and prompt shipping service. Not sure how long this part will last, I'll come back to add one more star if this part last past a year.I recommend this seller and this part!

If your pool motor buzzes, spend $12 on this DIY capacitor.
This is my second capacitor replacement. My first TEMCo capacitor lasted 15 months before it had bulges and looked like my old one. With a 5 year warranty, I'm hoping to get a refund of my first one that failed. It's real easy to replace your failed capacitor yourself. First be sure to turn off the power to the motor. Look for the "bump" on your motor, and remove the 2 screws that holds it on. Underneath that is the capacitor. Next, put a screwdriver over the connectors to remove any residual capacitance, and remove the two wires. Order a new capacitor based on the size, numbers, and details displayed on your old capacitor. Replace the new capacitor by connecting the two wires and putting the cover back on. You may need to add some lube where the cover connects to the motor to seal out rain and other water. Turn the motor power back on, and start the motor - it should run now!A pool guy will tell you the buzzing motor will need to be replaced for around $600 or more. You can avoid this just by replacing the capacitor. It took me a total of about 10 minutes to remove and replace the capacitor. The 4 stars is because the original replacement only lasted 15 months out of 5 years. I also noted that the original replacement was "assembled in Mexico" but the latest replacement did not indicate this, so maybe will last longer.UPDATE: TemCO refunded the cost of my original capacitor that failed since it had a 5 year warranty, and I therefore updated my review to 5 stars
