Whittard 70% Cocoa Hot Chocolate 300g

Perfection! Little sugar added, but not too much

Excellent product. Whittard instant tea and hot chocolate products are the best.

Now then, every day I make myself a Chilli Mocha latte, I have been for years. Normally I use a square and a half of Lyndt Chilli Chocolate and then coffee and then warm milk. Recently Lyndt have upped their prices and also I found myself occasionally stealing a square to nibble on so I got through the bars too quickly anyway. I thought that perhaps this little cylinder of joy might be the answer. Actually, I think it does work out a little cheaper than multiple bars of chocolate but basically it's just a good quality hot chocolate with some chilli powder added and so I figured - wait ... why don't I just do that? To be honest, my chilli powder / hot chocolate mix is not quite as good but I can make do (for heavens sake - in the grand scheme of things - it's hardly a personal crisis!). So my recommendation would be this as a birthday/Christmas gift to someone who loves this sort of thing - unless you're unpleasantly wealthy with lots of dosh. If so - go for the Hotel Chocolat version which is even more pricey but tastes nicer.

I have tried a few of the Whittards flavoured hot chocolates and am delighted that non of them are too overpowering. You get a delicious hot chocolate with a hint of marzipan rather than a too strong almond flavour. I hope they bring it back!

Really delicious!! Two heaps teaspoons or three if you like it decadent, my fiancé is a marzipan lover so I got this for him for Christmas and we both had some. Totally worth it! It was yummy! Marzipan flavour isn't too overpowering either which is nice

This chocolate is not as silky as Whittard which I bought last time. Whittard seemed to have altered the formula.

This sounds amazing but unfortunately it does not taste that way! It does taste a bit of Marzipan but its like a bitter aftertaste. The taste is hard to explain but it's neither chocolate or Marzipan you get hints of both. With other Whittards I use extra scoops, definitely don't with this as it makes it worse. Like all Whittards its unnecessarily expensive!

Very good quality chocolate drink

I purchased this on a whim, hoping it would taste somewhat like Godiva hot cocoa. I was totally wrong. It's not too bad if you like the bitter taste. It's just a little too bitter for my taste. I mixed it with some Ghirardelli hot cocoa I have, and it tasted much better.

I like the 70% cocoa health factor BUT a truly “blah” taste - I personally add Simply Chocolate Syrup for taste. Most EXPENSIVE tasteless drink I ever experienced.
