Titan 12039 1/2" Drive to 1/4" Hex Drive Quick Change Adapter

This adapter attaches securely to my hog-ring-style impact driver. I've used it with a variety of bits as well as the DeWalt right-angle adapter, and it has performed flawlessly. It's compact size means it doesn't get in the way, and a bit has never come out when I didn't want it to.

More compact than others I considered. Locks bit firmly in place. Turns my cordless power ratchet into a tight spot right angle driver!

Bought this about a year ago to go with the new cordless 3/8” impact I bought at the same time. Over the last year I’ve driven several thousand 1-5/8” deck screws and a few hundred 3-4” lag screws. From out of the box it didn’t really attach positively to the impact gun, although I think that is as much the impact as it was the adapter. The quick connect does not grab the bits as as positively as a factory 1/4” hex collet does, but they do not fall out easily. The failure point on this is the quick change system, as mine no longer grabs and retains bits. I’ll probably buy any there one, but may get a few different kinds to compare. I would say if this is a critical piece of gear for you l, make sure you have an extra on hand because they do wear out and typically aren’t found in any of the big box stores.

Works well to provide smaller 1/4" coupler onto 1/2" drive impact tool. The spring-loaded collar holds 1/4" bits and hex-head sockets securely in place - and facilitates easy bit changes. Durable impact level material should prove a long service life. Worked out very well for me to drive some very long lag screws into wooden fence using high torque power of impact tool (too much for power drill).

Good quality

I’ve used this adapter for electrical cabinets, wood working, and mechanical and this is by far the best adapter I’ve come across. It saves time from running around with impact driver adapters that are usually too long to perform any task efficiently . I’ve used this adapter for approx. 6 months and it stays on my cordless 3/8 drive impact ready for use as it is my favorite go to tool combo.

Solid built-in, works well

It fits perfectly on my Milwaukee 3/8 wrench with hog ring. The hex drive holds the bit securely. The standard Western bit from groove to the end measures about 9mm (top pic). The Japanese style bit measures about 16mm (bottom pic). This will not fit and locked properly However, this will work for Japanese tools like Makita, which will also locked the Western bit.
