Excellent popcorn popper!
I purchased this stainless steel popcorn popper to replace my old aluminum one after switching to an induction range. The design and style are exactly the same, which I loved, but the stainless steel construction makes it induction-compatible—and it works perfectly. I’m very impressed with the quality of this popper. It’s solid, well-built, and feels much sturdier than my previous aluminum version. Everything fits together nicely, and it has a durability that makes me confident it will last for many years. If you’re moving to an induction cooktop or just want a more robust, long-lasting popcorn popper, this is an excellent upgrade. I’m extremely pleased with this purchase.

I wish I could give this 10 stars!
I love popcorn. Air-popped, stove popped, even microwave in a pinch, but most of all, I love movie theater popcorn. I go to the movies, not to sit next to strangers coughing and talking, but because that is where I can get the best popcorn. Then I discovered that Disney World sells it, and you can buy a reuseable bucket for $10, and refill it with delicious movie theater style popcorn for $1.50 forever after. We live in central Florida and have passes, so bye-bye movie theaters as I could now get my fix at Disney almost weekly! Then....Covid-19 arrived, and months have gone by with no end in sight to my craving for crunchy, salty, tasty movie theater popcorn. Ugh! So I began to think that there must be something I can do about this. Thank goodness for Amazon! With a little bit of research, my dilemma was solved, crisis averted, and I can now sit at home getting happily fat on as much movie theater popcorn as my heart desires! Check out my other reviews for the future Keto bars and shakes I'll be living on once I get my fill of popcorn! Ha! Seriously, I hunted around looking for what would be the best system for achieving perfect results and flavor for specifically movie theater style popcorn. I already own 2 air poppers, which I love, but it's a completely different result. I looked at several types of popping devices and decided on this one because it looked like good quality, being stainless steel and heavier than the aluminum ones. I don't like burned popcorn. This popper is heavy, sturdy, and pops perfect popcorn without any burning. It is extremely easy to clean, just wipe it out after using (and cooling down) with a cloth and it's good to go. It has 3 places on the lid where it snaps on to the pot securely, and this is fantastic because as soon as the popcorn is finished, you can pick up the pot by the wood handle without needing potholders, and with the one unsecured flap on the top, you can dump the fresh, hot popcorn into a bowl. The top also has 4 little vents that face in toward the center of the pot so that as steam and little droplets of oil escape, it is kept to a minimum and doesn't spray out onto the stove, or the person making the popcorn. The top also has all metal gears, and a stirring mechanism for the bottom of the pot to stir the popcorn around as it pops so that you can avoid burning it. This works great for moving the popcorn. I have made popcorn 3 times in 2 days, and every time I get almost every kernal popped, and no burning at all. So, here is my perfect recipe for popcorn that tastes even better than movie theater popcorn. Better because of the quality of the actual popcorn with no hulls attaching to your teeth, and in my case probably a bit more oil than normal because I have no pump for adding extra oil on after finishing, so it's all with the popped corn - but trust me, it's the perfect amount! I'm not saying it won't kill you eventually, but if you have to go, death by carb loaded fatty popcorn is my choice! Anyway... 3 TBSP Butter Flavored Coconut Oil - I bought Golden Barrel Butter Flavored Coconut Oil ($9.97/amazon) scant 1/2 tsp Flavacol Popcorn Salt - This is necessary and the secret to perfect flavor - ($7.80/Amazon) 1/4 cup good quality popcorn - I bought Amish Country 2-2lb bags Purple Popcorn Kernals ($12.99/Amazon) Turn stove on high, add oil, salt and popcorn. When it starts popping, slowly turn the crank to move popcorn around and when the popping slows to just a couple still popping, remove and keep stirring for about 20-30 seconds to make sure you get as many popped as possible, then carefully pour into a bowl and enjoy. 1/4 cup of popcorn makes a perfect amount for 2 people (or exactly enough for me). The pot makes 1/2 cup at a time and the instructions will tell you that, and to make it along with 3 tbsp oil. I did that the first time and it was a LOT of popcorn! Good for a family of 4 (but yeah, I did eat it all but it took me about an hour and a half, lol). the next time I decided to cut the popcorn amount in half but keep the 3 tbsp oil, and it is the perfect combination. Happy popping everyone!

Still popping 5 years later!
I’ve been using this for 5 years now and it’s held up extremely well. As a fellow popcorn lover, I highly recommend this over microwave popcorn as it will taste so much better. Just place it on the stove, heat up on high heat, add some avocado oil, kernels, and your favorite popcorn salt, stir, and it pops the best batch of popcorn you’ve ever had. I make popcorn using this at least once a week. Pretty easy to wash too, rinse under hot water and it will mostly clean itself. A quick wash with soap will do the rest. Perfect size to make about a bag and a half’s worth of microwave popcorn. The trick is also to make sure you start with good quality kernels. I can’t imagine this breaking down on me any time soon. Great investment.

Well made, pops like it should
This popper is all good except that it is very hard to lift the release to get the lid off. I have to pry it off. Even so, I have made several batches of popcorn in it and they are delicious.

POP-ular in our Home! 😁
Fantastic! I’ve been using this style of popcorn popper for years! This my ninth rotation style stovetop popper in over 20 years (we’ve replaced quite a few over the years, they don’t last forever). It makes fantastic popcorn, quickly and easily! So far this popper has proven to be better than any of the models I’ve tried previously. It’s relatively sturdy and for no reason I can discern, comes clean a little easier (it's not easy to clean, but easier than other similar poppers). We pop popcorn almost every day at our house and so far this one has been a workhorse! PROS: 1. Pops a batch of popcorn in a FLASH! 2. Super easy to use. 3. Rotating arm prevents burned kernels (I still manage to burn a few from time to time, but only when I walk away and don't spin the arm constantly). 4. Seems to pop almost every kernel as opposed to simply using a large saucepan. 5. Sturdier than some other models. CONS: 1. Doesn't stand up to dishwasher cleaning, and is a little bit of a pain in the behind to clean. 2. Can get a little misshapen and become warped if it gets too hot or you put water in/on it while it's still hot. 3. Kind of pricey for a popcorn popper (well worth it, in my opinion, but it is kind of spendy. TIPS: 1. If you char some kernels in the bottom of the pan, or it just starts to get difficult to clean, use Barkeeper’s Friend (with a Brillo or SOS pad if it's REALLY bad)...it works wonders on these poppers. 2. Set your heat just under medium high and almost every kernel will pop, without scorched bits or smoking and burning. BOTTOM LINE: I have tried every style of popcorn popper out there over the years, and not only does this style top the list, but this particular model is one of the best of its type that I've used. Worth it!

Makes making popcorn easier
I had a hot air popper but I started eating baby popcorn. Unfortunately, the kernels just blow out of the air popper without popping and make a mess. Using a regular skillet is a pain having to constantly shacking the skillet to make sure the kernels don't burn. Plus my stove is glass top electric and shaking the skillet back and forth was scratching the finish on the glass stove top. This popper (Cook N Home 02627 Stainless Steel Stovetop Popcorn Popper, 6 quart, Silver) makes popping the baby popcorn a breeze. Put a splash of oil in the pan, add the popcorn, put the pan on the heat, slowly turn the handle, pop and enjoy. I make 8 to 10 batches at one time, storing the popped corn in containers to eat later. This is much easier to do now than it was with the hot air popper (it would over heat if I made more than 3 batches and I would have to let it cool down before using again besides the problem I mentioned earlier popping baby popcorn) or the skillet (my arm would get really tired shaking it back and forth after 2 or 3 batches). The popper is very well made. Good solid construction. Nice thick bottom that doesn't buckle or warp when it is getting hot and then cooling. I've had stock pots that are similar to the pan part of the popper that were made with thinner bottoms that you can hear buckling and warping. This is not something good to hear while cooking and with thinner bottomed pans you run the risk of burning and/or scorching your food. So, as long as you watch the heat (don't have the heat set too high), turn the handle and take the popper off the heat as the popcorn finish popping you won't have a problem with burning or scorching. Cleaning is a breeze. After everything cools down I simply wipe the pan out and lid off with a dry cloth. If you go sparingly on the oil the pan and lid won't be greasy (first time I used the popper I used too much oil and the pan/lid where greasy/oily; haven't made that mistake again). Hope you found this review helpful and after you buy this popper you enjoy making popcorn now as much as I do.

Best Popcorn Popper I Have Used
Edit: After over a year of use, I'm still very impressed with the value and quality of this induction ready popcorn cooker. Not only does it make great popcorn, it is very versatile and is great for cooking other things as well like stews, pot roast and deep frying. Also I have had not sign of corrosion or other flaws, even cooking heavy acidic foods tomato sauces, the finish is still flawless after constant use. This pot has been very handy for me as when I first ordered this for my new induction hob, I had just transferred from a gas stove and most all my old pots and pans where rendered useless leaving me with one or two induction skillets and an old cumbersome heavy cast iron dutch oven to cook my meals, so this has made many stews, and batch's beans and cornbread. As for the almost instant popcorn, I figured out that avocado oil is able to get to a higher temperature before burning and causes the kernels to get much hotter faster then regular oil or ghee. The key is preheating the oil tell it just at it's smoking point before add the corn in. I have also used ghee and although it gives a much richer real butter flavor, the popping was not as constant with a lot more unpoped kernels and took longer compared to using quality avocado oil. In summery, I can 100% recommend this unit for anyone looking for a quality induction ready cooker. I can see this lasting me for centuries to come. Without question, this is the best popcorn cooker I've used! Outstanding quality! The stainless is magnetic and it worked extremely well on my induction hob. And I say extremely well, as the first time using this today, I followed the directions with 3 Tbs oil (Avocado oil), 1/2 cup corn(fresh Orville Redenbacher's), with a power lvl 7.5 of 10 on the hob, I heated the oil first with just 2 kernels of corn in to tell they popped, so dumped in the 1/2 cup of corn along with 1 Tbs popcorn seasoning salt and cranked away. The cranking was very smooth with the steel gears effectively rotating the staring wire at the bottom of the cooker. I briefly left the lid open before closing it up after dumping in the corn so I could watch the action of the staring wire, and I must say it was really neat watching it spin around keeping all the corn turning. I would say within less than a minute after dumping the corn in and constantly cranking away, I am quite sure that literally every kernel had to have simultaneously popped! It actually startled me it was so sudden, and the pot was completely filled like within 2 seconds to the point I could no longer turn the crank! I've been making popcorn for most my life, and have never seen anything like that! I will have to try and do a vid on the next batch and put up on here as I have never seen anything like that! If you have an portable induction hob like mine or true induction stove top range this is a must have for literally instant popcorn.

This is the one!
You can buy the super expensive ones, or purchase this fantastic stop popper. Bowl after bowel of consistent popcorn with non of the microwave junk with controlling the ingredients. Less wasted kernels. Heavy duty and cleans very well. Bit on the larger size, but it’s made so very well. I’m impressed deeply.
