Of Dogs and Walls (Penguin Modern)

This book splices together two stories. They're not connected at all, except by sharing a melancholic sentimentality. I really loved them. The translator did an absolutely lovely job of it; the writing is crisp and clear, and it is the effect that is blurred and penumbral.If you love dogs so that the outset of the story provokes outrage, soldier through that. It's redeemed by the end.

I really liked the book and how it came but the smell of the book was the only thing I disliked.
