Great product, but not fresh enough to last as long as necessary
I have been using this product ever since my avian vet recommended it years ago. Our 27 year old Goffins cockatoo seems to relish it and it remains a staple in her diet. Unfortunately, the stock that I received had a much too short shelf life left, based on the sell by date. Normally, this size will last about a year for us and I know from conversations that I've had with Lafeber, if the product is fresh when sold it can have an 18 month shelf life. I complained to Amazon about the short shelf life of the product they sent me and was sent another order. Unfortunately, the replacement had the same expiration date. This is very frustrating for me. I love the product and the price is great, but if it's only good for six months or so, it's not a bargain. Not at all what I expected.

Nutrition in a pellet
These nuggets supply real food to birds, unlike mixed seed. My birds know it as cereal when I ask them if they need some. My Quaker shakes his head Yes. Unlike seed mixes that can be more junk than food.

My birds really enjoy this brand
Both my Indian Ringneck Parrot and my Cockatiels really enjoy these pellets. They don't seem to ever get tired of them and they are much healthier than the seed. The size last quite awhile as well for my three!

Same healthy product recommended by bird specialty store
This food is what was recommended by the bird specialty store where I purchased my cockatiel. The store closed so it’s nice to be able to find the same product. I’ve been purchasing this for many years - no issues and healthy bird.

I'm sure this is great stuff
They arrived quickly and the price was right, but, unfortunately, my bird sees these as he sees Harrison's pellets, he'd rather have Lafeber's Nutriberries. My sun conure is a bit too small to hold the a Nutriberry, so he eats some, then drops it and gets another. I get around this by cutting them in half so he can hold them easier, which is a lot of work. When you are less 5 inches tall, a Nutriberry is huge. So I was hoping these would be smaller Nutriberries.

Are these good? I don’t really know.
I decided an all NutriBerries diet wasn’t good even though my birds love them and they allegedly have “nutrition of pellets”. It took a few days, but both my cockatiels will eat these, but it seems like they do begrudgingly. They are probably too big for cockatiels. My female is smart… she takes one in her beak, hops over to the rope and uses it as a platform to hold it still while she eats it. My male is kind of dumb (but loveable)…. many of these end up just pinging around the room. I will keep searching for a better pellet.

I have been using these for years. My birds love them and I am sure they are getting a balanced diet. Very pleased with this.

My tiel and rosy bourke seem to like these which is a bonus for pellets when birds love their seed. Adds a nice variety to their diet. Lafeber products are always a win!!

My cocktail won’t eat this food. I tried to return it but Amazon says it’s not returnable . I’m not sure what to do . Thank you
