the darker colours flattered my waist area most
The sensation and comfort and light weight of this fabric against my skin and looseness whilst complimenting my figure on my first purchase was such that I ordered others in various lighter colours Only to discover that the lighter shirts revealed my curves a little touch more than the darker colours - that or the shirts are not consistent...i expect to shed some pounds and would gladly re order again....but in the meantime the ones i have are a welcomed relief with the increase in sunny day warm seasons for hiking and smart casual..

Nice lightweight smart shirt
Nice shirt. Light and comfortable to wear. As others have said not sure if it is 50uv protection, but still a very nice shirt.

Brilliant hiking shirt for sun protection
I don’t normally write reviews, but it’s not an overstatement to say this hiking shirt saved me on a charity marathon hike at the weekend, on one of the UK’s hottest days. In contrast to the sports T-shirt issued for the event, when I changed into this it felt so much airier and cooler whilst also providing protection from the sun. It was a real test of it hiking 43km! And I think (along with a big hat) it was a big contributing factor to being able to go the distance whilst others were struck down with heatstroke. I was so pleased with it that I’ve immediately ordered another. The fabric is also quick drying and doesn’t need ironing.

Not as advertised
The shirt is great, very lightweight and it looks great but it’s advertised as UVF 50, and the label says just 40. This might seem petty of me but I have lupus and I need to know what protection I’m getting or I could be very ill

No guarantee whatsoever of it’s sun protection properties
Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware. ‘Jessie Kidden’ is the brand name of a Chinese manufacturer. Their garments appear to be sold only on Amazon and occasionally crop up on other well known online marketplaces. The marketing blurb talks about 50+ UV protection. The label in the garment states 40+. No reference to breathability etc. A previous reviewer noted she had been told by the seller that the shirt was not made of ‘professional’ UV protected fabric.So. It’s a shirt. Probably made of 100 per cent polyester. It resembles a high tech fabric with it’s little self woven micro squares. The fabric has a silky feel. But does it have any UV protection properties (beyond being a long sleeved, high buttoned shirt)? Who knows. The evidence is purely anecdotal as seen in the reviews here.Without a well known brand name, with no independent testing or reviews and no regulation as to the marketing claims, it’s impossible to say for certain whether this is anything more than a regular shirt made of cheap synthetic material. This doesn’t make it a ‘bad’ shirt. It just doesn’t guarantee it has any special UV protective qualities. Or any other properties that make it particularly good for outdoor activities. Which of course makes it impossible to judge whether at £30+ it represents any kind of ‘good value’. Buyer beware!

Nice light shirt.
This is a nice, light shirt that I wore for my trip to the Amazon rainforest (to stay out of the sun and mosquitos). I ordered white and It is definitely see through, so just needed to wear a tank top under it. I thought the size Small was a bit baggy but I guess that’s kind of the point of the shirt. Overall would recommend.

Slightly large but an excellent quality item
Lovely shirt but a bit on the large size which is a shame. However it was perfect for my holiday
