Southland Archery Supply Prophecy 80 Pound Self-Cocking Pistol Crossbow with Cobra System Limb and 3 Arrows

I have been hunting and fishing since I was a kid. Grew up in Montana. I have some knowledge about a few ways of hunting and I have regular crossbows. A friend who has a pistol crossbow showed me his. So I tried it out. I was awesome. Next thing you know. I’m shopping for my own. I didn’t want to spend a thousand dollars my first go around. Took me days to research for a good decent and one with a case. I can’t believe I found this one. Even my buddy can’t believe that I got this strong built, powerful, with everything top quality and all. Even the cary case is superb quality! It’s better than my other crossbows cases and I spent $250 on them each! The material alone is more durable, padded, and tougher than my serious hunting gear and the pouches and zippers are huge and reinforced military strength. Everything is obviously built to last! I have serious respect for this company now! Not many companies these days are honestly worthy of that. Once I can afford more I am Most Definitely purchasing more crossbows from them. I did purchase other arrows of my own that my buddy recommended for hunting. The ones that came with it are for practice basically and that’s good for beginners. I highly recommend this. I am absolutely shocked that they sell this though at this low price, as was my buddy. Definitely get one for yourself before they are gone! Super powerful and the site is awesome

Cons: Directions need improvement- Would not hurt to be a little more specific in regards to installing the 'Pressure Pad' (and the rubber pads) when installing the "prod" or what I call 'the bow part'. The Safety appears to malfunction once in a while (I tried this while the gun was NOT Loaded) ...the Safety DID work while the gun was loaded...Anyway....just as well for me....because THIS IS NOT a TOY....and the level of respect I give this thing is VERY HIGH- This cross bow would send an arrow through the thin part of your foot...NO DOUBT!!! "Self Cocking" is a misnomer (false)- the user does the 'cocking'...and a pair of good high quality rubberized gloves is suggested for added 'gripping power'. I am 52 and have some tendon issues in my arm...so after 15 shots - the next day I felt a little pain in the elbow (but that is why it is a 'sport' I think) THE PROS (good) Packaged well Aluminum Darts (3) are good of course one bent after hitting a concrete wall LOL Accuracy: VERY GOOD (I realized that TWO hands must be used (unless you have a 'rest' of some sort)...but I like using the bow with two hands from about 30-40 ft) Sometimes an arrow/dart will fly astray by about 1 ft At 35 ft I was hitting a 16 inch pattern consistently At 12 ft I was able to hit a 1.5 inch circle Power I bought the speed track 60 pcs darts/arrows and they work fine... The darts hit hard REALLY hard at 16 ft ....I call it a gun because that is what it feels like to me. Construction : GOOD Hopefully the Cocking arm will hold up The 'string loop' appears well made Safety Glasses should be worn with this weapon For the money I recommend this weapon. (I do not use a scope)

Not bad for the price it's powerful and accurate. The reason I gave it a 4 star was the trigger pull. It takes a lot of pressure to pull the trigger. Still fun to shoot in the yard !

Broke first time using it

If you’re looking for an all around great starter, you found it here! It is built very well and is impressively accurate with the red dot sight once zeroed in! There is nothing about it I don’t like. The instructions are written in a bizarre understanding of the English language but hey if you can get through the dialect using common sense during assembly then you’re in! She’s a ripper! First fishing crossbow is a big score!

I'm not a weapons person so I don't know what best on market is but this crossbow is whicked. Got one couple months ago and was so impressed I got another as wedding gift for brother and he loved it. I also bought 60pack of plastic bolts, extra string and some bar grease. The aluminum bolts are more accurate but are only good for 1 or 2 shots but the plastic bolts seem to last forever. I have shot crossbow atleast 500 times with original string but down to about 50 plastic bolts cause wife has terrible aim. Once you get sight lined up it's s pretty accurate at 10yrds but also shoots decent at 30yrds but with about a 10-12" drop. This thing is flat out awesome and im so happy I bought this one it was great deal great quality just all out great. I definitely recommend buying this.

I'm overall satisfied with this item. You do get what you pay for and it is obviously a very cheaply made product. It works, and while I'm sure it could take small game I'm more concerned with whether an animal would suffer unnecessarily. With proper maintenance this item should last and it is solid. The plastic iron sights are serviceable. Check your local regulations as I found it is illegal to use where I live.

I love this mini crossbow! I was very suprised by the power and accuracy. As well the case is very high quality! Very happy with service.
