Great Little Heater
Bought this heater to replace another one by a different manufacturer that just stopped working after a few months. Its primary use is an additional heat source for my living room which is a fairly large room. This heater has the power to keep the room nice and toasty even on the coldest days. The oscilation feature allows the heater to spread the heat evenly unlike some of the radiator style heaters that can't move the heat around. Its also quiet and the display is nice and bright, very easy to see. It comes with a remote that is easy to use and gives you full function over the heater. Its small size allows you to easily move it from room to room if need be. I have the heater plugged into an outlet dedicated just to it. The plug stays cool to the touch unlike some of the other heaters I have used. Main thing is to make sure the heater is the only thing plugged into the outlet and DO NOT USE EXTENSION CORDS OR POWER STRIPS!!! This can cause overheating and are a fire hazard. If you want a heater that has a small footprint but is powerful, spreads the heat evenly, and is safe to use as long as you follow the instructions then this is your heater. Note: the fan speed on this heater is only adjustable with the heat setting, ie the higher the heat setting the faster the fan speed. This is not an issue for me but it may be for some so thats why I'm mentioning it.

Heats well, no low-medium and high settings though
Bought because reviews said it was one of the quietest heaters, I didn't find that to be the case. Lack of low, medium and High setting not good either. Looks nice, heats well regardless. I paid a lot more for this than what I could have got locally as I wanted the quietness reviews gave, but because it's not that quiet, regret the purchase. Still very nice well made heater though, fan good, decent controls.

Satisfactory
I think the heater works very efficiently and the front does not seem to get hot enough to burn. Maybe it would if I cranked it up all the way, but I don't see why that would be necessary. It is a little noisy, but no more noisy than a fan, which some minor clicking sounds. I wish it had a setting so that you could arrange for it to turn on at a certain time before I enter the room (the timer on it will turn it off after a certain time, which is pretty useless for me - I don't really need it to continue to heat the room after I've left). But by and large it does the job, and circulates the hot air nicely around a moderately-sized room.

Good while it lasted...
I bought this heater about 15 months ago. I bought it for work and I used it everyday at my desk which would be 5 days a week, 9 hours a day. When I first got it it was wonderful. It has a remote, a digital display, thermostat, safety shutdown in case of tip-over, all the good stuff. It put out good heat and it was extremely quiet . After about 4 months it got a bit noisier. After about 8 months it was noisier still but it still worked fine. About 1 week ago, the blower fan inside of it seized up completely. I now have to buy a new heater. It's such a shame that it only lasted 15 months before it died. Glad I got it on sale.

Hot, Sleek and Moves Well.
I needed a new heater to warm a 15 x 18 glass room with skylights in northern NJ winters. I purchased the Jarden Heater to replace a serviceable but inferior ceramic heater that served for about five years. I admit to being reticent about the purchase because a number of critical reviews on Amazon. The Jarden has been in operation for over a month. It performed very well. The Jarden heated the room better than its predecessor,a larger unit. The unit can be set to rotate or point in a fixed position. The temperature setting is widely variable. The room was acceptably warm on the coldest nights. The unit is efficient. My electric bill was less than under similar conditions with prior heaters. The unit is also attractive with a sleek black and silver design. The instrumentation is easily readable. The remote control is more than adequate for the few functions necessary. All in all, the Jarden is an excellent product.

It worked fine until I could no longer return or replace it
Began having problems with it less than 6 months after purchase. While it still generates heat, it does not do so as efficiently because the fan is not functioning well. It worked fine until I could no longer return or replace it...how convenient for Amazon and the company who made this piece of junk. This was not worth the price I paid for it.

Very good heater, but needs improvement in one crucial area
This is the highest ranked heater on ConsumerReport.org, and I have to disagree after having used 3 heaters in the last month. From overall functionality and noise level perspective, this one is on par with 'Duraflame Williams Portable Heater 10HM4126-O107. However, the most important feature that sets both products apart is what happens after the set temperature is reached. This one keeps all its lights in a dark room versus Duraflame which turns its lights off completely in a dark room. Though some people may ask what is wrong with having some lights on in a completely dark room? I have to say from personal experience that this is the different between life and death for some people in which sleeping quality can be compromised. On the other hand, it would be perfect if the manufacturer could fix this only problem in which all light turns off after the set temperature is reached.
