EGR 305085 SuperGuard Hood Guard Bug Deflector Protector, Matte Black Finish, Compatible with Select 2016 to 2023 Toyota Tacoma All Cabs Models

I read a lot of reviews about this product, including someone's book in the reviews! When I put this on, yes there is a gap, but I adjusted my screws and the clips to set the gap where I wanted it. When I was reviewing the parts that came with this item I did see TWO types of screws (some reviews said the screws given didn't fit). This is important since one type of screw is for the brackets that go into the hood and the other is for the clips that come with the bug shield. Make sure to take your time and understand that the pointed "wood" screws go into the hood clips, and the flat tips go into the clips that fit into the hood and the bug shield (the ones in the middle). Now that I explained how to put this on, I have to say it's a great item for the Taco! I wanted a bug shield and did not want something that was big and bulky. Also, this item is not for back country, no lights anywhere places, but for country/city it's perfect. I live in Keller, TX. which is a suburban area and a my family has a farm north of us, so we get some bug issues but if I was going to the dark parts of South Africa or West Texas I may buy a different bug shield. I have see were bugs and pebbles avoid the windshield since I put this item on and I have also notices that it holds on well to the 10,000 mph water and the 25,000 mph blower from the local drive through car wash. Toyota Tacoma shield is NOT simple bolt on using factory holes. Also uses clips slipped over edge of the hood with pieces of tape to supposedly protect the paint. It has unsightly screws exposed. Beware that even though sold on Amazon this is not a free return item with a full refund. At a minimum there will be a restocking fee, this vendor also wants you to pay return shipping. Can not recommend this product or company.

I love it so far. No complaints. Pay attention to the screws. 4 pointed tip are for the outer clips and the 3 flat tip screws are for the center 3 brackets on the front. Easy to install

Gave this a 4 star due to a few missing washers and the screws underneath the hood was way too big for the small plugs and could not screw them in place. So I went my local HomeDepot to pick up some screws that would fit. Overall a really good product that was easy to install. I also noticed that my hood stopped vibrating as much while driving, which is a plus due to the hood adhesive issue.

Product was great. I tried two other brands. I won't mention their names and they did not fit. I could not get my hood closed. People buy this one. You won't be disappointed.

After some great customer service from an extremely reputable company I installed the bug deflector on my 2023 Tacoma and it’s hands-down one of the best bolt-on models I’ve had. Fitment was absolutely perfect—no gaps, no rattles, and it wrapped around the hood exactly like the factory intended, even though it’s an aftermarket piece. The flat black tint matches my dark gray SR5, so far it’s held strong through pressure washes and 80-mph runs. If you own a 2023 Tacoma and hate rock chips or cleaning smashed bugs off the leading edge of the hood, this deflector is worth every penny. Very low profile and It looks fantastic! You might need a little JB weld after a car wash.

It looks great on my truck. I like it. Be interesting to see how it holds up in winter as the screws are not stainless. Excellent Customer service I needed a few parts missing. They got then right out to me. Top rate service form this seller.
