Nearly Natural 6639 24in. Golden Dieffenbachia Silk Plant, Green

So happy I splurged on this plant! I have real-live plants in my house and never considered a silk/artificial plant before. Although I have live plants in my house, I've never had luck with plants in one particular corner and had to replace it every two years or so. It gets too cold in that particular corner near the front door. I looked for a live plant, but they were a little too small. This one looks great! It's in a copper pot in a corner and it looks very nice and natural/alive. The plant to carefully packed and I was surprised to see the nice box, too.

This plant looks just like the picture. It is a good value for its price. I agree with others in that the packaging of this plant would receive one star. It is just placed in a box, no protective covering, not tied down, just loose so I was lucky that mine arrived in perfect condition. I spent 30 minutes shaping the plant and trimming off a few places where the fabric leaves were fraying (only about 5 leaves). You need to take time to shape it. The leaves are rather flat and if you take them one by one and bend them a little, they look more real. Also, separate them at the stem base. It is a very full plant. I would not recommend it as a focal point in a well lit area but I needed a floor plant in a dimly lit area and one that you see off at a distance. In that application, it looks very real. I do not like spanish moss (the brown stuff) which is what they used at the base of the plant and it was sparse as another reviewed. You really can't see it once you shape the plant but I went ahead and headed to the dollar store and bought one bag of green Reindeer moss (green) which I placed on top of the spanish moss. Another thing I agree on is the planter is very "cheap" but there again in my application, it looks just fine and blends with my decor. If you want something much nicer, be prepared to spend a minimum of $200 for a plant this full. One last thing, the plant is about 22" tall. I did not want my middle leaf standing straight up which would give it the 24" height that they stated. The only thing I really didn't like is there are four leaves that they have folded to look like new growth. If you look close at the picture, you can see them. Mine where wrapped too tight and they looked way fake but I just undid them a little at the base and they looked better. By the way, this is my third Nearly Natural Purchase and I have been very pleased with the quality for the price offered and I am a very particular customer!

Arrived well-packed and perfectly 'fluffed'. It looks just like the picture and is a quality plant -- just wish they had the same thing in a 5ft size!

We have many spots in our home unsuitable for live plants due to poor light and hot air vents. Over the years we have watched live plants gradually die and drop leaves. We bought two of these and they are perfect... and no more messy watering! For those who complain they do not look like the picture, try fluffing and rearranging the leaves when they come out of the packing box and that should solve that!

It is rather top heavy as noted in other reviews, however, going to put it where it will not be knocked over easily. Looks very real. Gave off a bit of an odor when first opened, but goes away over time. I would buy it again.
