Good telescope for beginners
This is my first time use and purchase of a telescope. This unit arrived in good shape, well-packaged and is easy to assemble. There are a variety of lenses and the views are pretty phenomenal. My only complaint is lack of information in the instruction manual, or anywhere else. I have been able to intuit most of the setup but not all. Manufacturer’s website has Q&As with a little more information (although some of it is conflicting) and most of the accessories are out of stock.

levenhuk strike 90 plus telescope
All in all, this is a pretty good telescope, I caught some pretty good views of saturn the other night. I haven't had one since I was a kid,so a good one is better than not having one at all. The attachment point where the tripod legs connect to the mount seem to be the weakest point, I get alot of residual movement that comes from there after adjusting the scope to bring whatever I'm looking at back into view. This is understandable coming from a tripod mounted scope though. I've had a good time with it so far and look forward to enjoying it's use for a long time to come. Oh yea, the packaging was excellent, no damaged parts and everything was there. Good job Levenhuk!!

Wonderful customer service
This was a birthday present and the recipient is really enjoying it. The accessory kit with info books, posters, etc is a real nice bonus. It came with a small broken piece. A quick call to the company and I was walked through a very easy process that had the replacement part to me right away. High quality product and high quality company with great customer service. Thank you .

Good value.
I'm still getting to know this telescope, but I can see the stars pretty well with it (I've been practicing on the Orion Nebula) even from a badly light-polluted location. I'm not sure what the complaints about assembly are that I've seen in other comments; either the offending part is now pre-assembled or I'm really smart, and I tend to suspect the former. I did have a little trouble figuring out where the counterweight goes, but that's about it.

Product box was very damaged. Is the unit OK?
I have just put the item together however it was a little difficult based on the language barrier. It does have English instructions but they are a few pages back and you have to refer back to the pictures which are not very detailed. But first and foremost I want to mention that the box that it came in from Lantern Hill was completely damaged. It was not a new box. The product itself is still being evaluated to make sure there was no damage to it. I will revise this review once we have finally figured out exactly how to use it and insured it is not damaged. It does look good. Wish us luck

Defective Lense
It seems like the telescope would be good, but the lense had a large defective area which severely hampered its ability to draw light and focus. The packaging was not damaged, but the lense damage was noted as I removed the telescope from the box. It took a week and a half to get return authorization, but eventually Levenhuk bellied up and authorized the return.

Inadequate Instructions
I have not used this telescope yet, but the instructions for assembly were horrible. I had no problem locating the English instructions, but the pictures provided were not anywhere near adequate. The instructions themselves were not very clear either. If you already know what you are doing and have some experience with telescopes, then I'm sure this would be a fine choice. However, for a first-time user, I found it difficult to assemble and understand what all the knobs and adjustments do. Some basic close up pictures with labels would have helped tremendously. I did find a few better pictures on the manufacturers website, but still not adequate.
