It is a good safety accompaniment to the Zigzag which makes it safer
I avoided buying this device for a long time after using only a zigzag. I learned that in certain configurations the zigzag really benefits from this device. High quality, as with all Petzl equipment.

Not quite as nice as the zigzag but works well enough
It seems well made though maybe a bit like an afterthought. It works well enough on my zigzag for srt though I’d rather switch to my RR Vertec if I have the opportunity. Seems to be more expensive than it needs to be.

The commuter car of SRT with automatic transmission
I’m starting to use SRT in tree climbing because it is often easier to “commute up into the canopy” I also purchased a Petzl A’md ball lock carabiner for clipping to the classic triple hole micro pulley. If you already own a hitch climber MRS, the chicane empowers SRT for less cost, commitment, and tangled gadgetry. The handle turns my life support system into a hand ascender-foot locking and foot wrapping gets you to work with far less hand fatigue than manually gripping rope the old fashioned way. (Especially nice with an adjustable bridge). While transitioning between SRT and MRS, Keep your life support system intact with fewer loose pieces and less time. The A’md carabiner stays put & racks directly to my belt. Keep your gloves on! I can’t speak to long term durability, but Petzl did design replaceable bollards (where rope is in contact)

Great addition for SRT SRS
Go for the 11.x petzl rope. 12 mm plus sized rope for the zigzag fits but stiffer through chicane.

Sure bet with Zigzag and SRT
Works well with the ZigZag plus for SRT climbing. Super quality as expected for Petzl. Been betting on it in combination with Pelican and teufelberger lines.

Legit
Exactly what it is. Requires specific h frame carabiners. For turning zig zag into Srt system.

Love it
Easy transition from drt,drs to srt, srs. Have to buy the H frame biner for this and can be difficult for some to install had no problems my self, really like that it is spring assisted and dosent flop arround like using the singing tree which I might want to ad that the singing tree is not approved to use with the zig zag but before this came out was the only thing available to make the zig zag usable for srt, srs, the updated version of the zig zag is definitely better I personally never liked the swivel on the last version. I do however think that the H frame biner should come with this seing as though you absolutely need a H frame to properly use this device

Great
Very good device well made easy to work with. Not bulky easy to stow on your saddle when not in use.
