Had to use mine on a drunken aggressor two days ago. One second burst to face/ chest dropped a 6ft 250 lb man to his knees and had him ripping his shirt off due to the burning. While he was incapacitated I had plenty of time to escape and dial 911. POM saved me from having to use deadly force and quite possibly saved my life considering the aggressor obviously was capable of making good on his threats. BTW I am a male 6ft, but I don't wan't to brawl with people who are intent on doing me harm. I am a birder so it also acts as a dog deterrent. I have mine conveniently clipped to a side pocket on my pants. It has never slipped or fallen off and I hardly know it is there until I need it. Additionally I prefer the safety on POM better than any on the market. Since my altercation took place at 12:45 AM I was able to feel the safety with my thumb in the dark and the aggressor never knew I had it pointed at him. When he finally started coming at me I deployed it with ease. I am amazed at what a one second burst did to him. I am sure had I emptied the canister on him he would have needed medical attention. Unfortunately law enforcement took my POM as evidence so in the meantime I have to use Sabre. The Sabre safety sucks and keeps arming itself which never was an issue with my POM. When I get home I will be ordering 2 more just to have available. The best advice I can give if you ever have to use it is the second the aggressor is incapacitated you leave and call 911. Don't worry about what it did (as rest assured it will incapacitate anyone), take that opportunity to put as much distance between yourself and them. Also of note since it was myself vs 5 I have no doubt I would have had plenty left in the container to deal with them if need be. However none of them wanted anything to do with me after that. Thanks POM for saving my life, saving me from having to use deadly force and for making a superior well thought out and convenient product.

If you don't know about this company I suggest looking them up and doing research. They are a great company. This POM spray is basically what police use but and a much smaller package. You can get about 20 2 second sprays out if this and it fits in your pocket amazingly. After having this I bought one for my wife and every vehicle we have. I HIGHLY suggest this product

I carry concealed but wanted some OC spray as a less-lethal deterrent for two- and four-legged aggressors. To that end I bought both POM and Sabre sprays. I GREATLY prefer the POM because it has a great pocket clip, grip ergonomics that index quickly by feel, and the SUPERIOR thumbflip safety.The Sabre safety is terrible: it can rotate in your pocket leading to a Very Bad Day. I've found it unlocked several times in my pocket but thankfully have not sprayed my nards (yet). I think Sabre needs to go to a "lift and rotate" unlock instead of just "rotate". And add a decent belt clip.Yes, I heard about POM on A.S.P.PS: if you need another item to make it to $25 free shipping do yourself a favor and add in a POM.

Goes with me everywhere. I like that the pocket clip can be adjusted 360 degrees to any orientation.

I tried it out last night--not in somebody's face, but just in the rockery. The stream was strong and tight. It left a little drop on the exit hole which I had to wipe away before returning the canister to my pocket. The canister is small and made of hard, smooth plastic and can easily slip out of your hand. There is a small lip under which you can put your finger so as to point in the correct direction. I would advise carrying the canister in your hand if you think you might need it; digging it out of your pocket and orientating it might take too much time in an emergency. I wish this canister had a little ring on it to put my finger through.

I have carried and used several different brands of pepper spray. I can say POM is the only one I trust to make someone not want to continue the path of trying to engage you in any manner.Once you use this hot sauce, no one wants to play with you anymore.Best pepper spray I have used hands down.

Convenient, easy to carry and effective.

I'm on a security team and during a training I had taken, this brand was highly recommended. Nice to have this as an option if needed.
