Unbeatable.
What can you say about HP5+? It’s a classic for a reason! With the classic grain structure and manageable contrast, HP5 is one of my favorite 400 speed films! You really get a classic film look without being too clean that it looks digital. From the darkroom to a digital hybrid workflow, it really is a great choice for an all around black and white film.

Great film! Fair pricing for taking a beginners photo class. Takes 11 minutes to develop (varies on developer). UPDATE 3/14/16 I have just purchased another 10 rolls. My photography teacher really has us working! Again, fair pricing and although not incredibly much less than buying 10 individual rolls, they are nice to have in bulk.

like every Ilford product
Standard 400 ISO Black and White film... you can't go wrong with it! Obviously, if you're going to be shooting at night, you'd want something more sensitive but 400 is versatile enough for most other settings (bright days, cloudy days, etc). Of course, like every Ilford product, the film is dependable and high quality with decent grain. This is my go-to b/w film, and with a 10 roll pack, I'm good to shoot for a few weeks!

This is good film but it prints softer images than the 100. Also there is more grain than in the Delta which creates sharper images. If you want something softer and gives contrast to the high definition look this is good film.

Great film
Exactly what is advertised, best black and white film you can buy, and the price point beats color roles. Doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or have been doing this for a while ISO 400 should tell you all you need to know, but this film works best outside or in bright spaces, not good for indoors or anything past full daylight
