Nintendo King Dedede Amiibo - Japan Import - Super Smash Bros Series - 3DS WiiU Switch

I'm very excited to write a review about my very first Amiibo! Since Super Smash Bros. Brawl, King Dedede was one of my ideal choices for being a really destructive heavyweight. I will admit when I was looking at buying an Amiibo, I was first looking at either Pit or Captain Falcon but they were in such high demand the price is through the roof. So alas, King Dedede I choose you! First off let me tell you the figures aren't just sturdy and very well made, but the detailing is absolutely stunning. From the paint job on the white lining of his jacket making it look fluffy, to even the stitching details on his mittens, These Amiibos will make a great decoration for any Gamer's display when they aren't in use. Unfortunately the Amiibo I received was Japanese so keep in mind unless you know Japanese, you won't be able to read the instructions. But that's what Youtube is for right? However both American and Japanese Amiibos are still compatible with any system. Unfortunately I cannot use my Amiibo yet because I currently do not own a New 3DS or a Wii U. But I bought this Amiibo before Dedede was in high demand like some of the other Amiibos. If you don't wish to get a New 3DS and if you are patient, the Amiibo adapter for the old 3DS systems should be coming around this summer. In case you do not know what an Amiibo is, these figures can connect to your Smash Bros 3DS and Wii U games and can be played as either a rival, or a helper. However, you CANNOT play as the Amiibo. Then of course you can customize their moves, and feed them equipment to level up your Amiibo fighter. Last but not least, I highly recommend any Amiibo character for they aren't just fun to collect, they offer good benefits for the game too, and simply adds a little more fun to the game! I sure hope Nintendo makes more Amiibos in the future. I am really looking forward to a Mr. Game & Watch or a Dark Pit Amiibo. But until that possibly happens, get your Dedede Amiibo today before his price increases dramatically like some of the other Amiibos!

Like many people, I have been trying to collect every amiibo. But I actually enjoy using them, rather than keeping them indefinitely trapped in their plastic prison. So these Japanese and EU region amiibos are great for me, since they are usually cheaper than North American ones, and only the box is different, which I open anyway. I also like the option of having one come in two days with Prime rather than waiting forever on an eBay option. So while it is regrettable that they are still higher than MSRP here, it's still better than nothing. As you can see in my photos, the physical amiibo figure is literally the exact same across all regions, including the writing on the bottom of the platform. And they are all region free and will work an any region Wii U. King Dedede can be used in a major way in Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U), and in a minor, generic way in Mario Party 10, Hyrule Warriors, and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It's too bad the supply issues are so rampant on these, because they are actually very high quality figures. The paint/art and modeling is done very well on them, and they all look very nice on my display shelf. So if you are like me and don't care about all the boxes matching, or you open all your amiibos, this is a fantastic option!

This is a fantastic product, and it came to my front door in a very timely manner, and it was a very good price for such a rare Amiibo in the U.S. specifically California, and I couldn't be more happier with it, and the box art, and sculpt of the figure is amazing, the cloth lining on the figure is really great to look at, and the color separation on the figure is brilliant, and in my opinion the sculpt of the figure looks a bit better than the actual character in the game. If you play Smash Bro's 4 for the WiiU, or 3ds, I highly recommend this product, I believe you will enjoy it very much, and it will look very nice on your shelf next to your other Amiibo's in your collection, or if it is your first time purchasing a Smash Bro's Amiibo and you like the Kirby series, I highly recommend this product. You will love it!

This was a product that I bought for my son for Christmas. I guess it's the new thing to collect amiibos but not use them for the Nintendo switch not sure why I guess it's a kid thing right now. It was a good price the only thing was that it told me that it would be here earlier than it came much later.

Sadly I missed all of the pre-orders for getting this amiibo in my own country, so I was indecisive as to what to do. I didn't want to encourage scalpers by forking out an unreasonable amount of money. I saw that Equinox Japan was selling this product for £21, which I thought was a very reasonable price as it included the P+P and the VAT for getting the product to this country. (GAME were selling this Amiibo for £15 in comparison). The estimated delivery date for this product was 26th March-17th April but I recieved it today much to my surprise. The packaging was in very good condition when it arrived. King Dedede himself is fantastic, I would honestly say that he's the best looking Amiibo out of my collection. He has some decent weight to him and the paint job/detailing is great. I'm very happy that I got this for a decent price as he's my favourite character in Smash Bros. I would highly recommend Equinox Japan to anybody.
