So its OK but it doesn't have the changing illumination colors it claims to have... It doesn't save any settings have to set every time I get in car...

sounds great
Bought this for my 17 year old son. The upgraded speakers in our car still sounded like junk. With this new stereo he's much happier with the 'family' car. hee heeFit great in my 2001 Kia Sephia with a dash mount kit.

not user friendly
I got off on the wrong foot with this thing, when I learned that the color isn't adjustable--I thought it was, but I was wrong. I almost bought a Pioneer, that would have matched the digital display of my clock/EATC....but bought this one instead, because it had a little more power (18W RMS, compared to the Pioneer's 14W) The reason I'm giving it 3 stars, instead of the 2 it really deserves, is because it DOES have great sound! It will get the most out of your standard-issue car stereo speakers. Both CD's and strong radio stations sound great. Now for the bad stuff....Even on full brightness, the display is unreadable during the day....if you only drive at NIGHT, this won't be a problem, but,.( ???) Stuck with just the RED lighting up the buttons, and a pale white display on everything else, it clashes with my present GREEN display--a bummer. Also, it was doing some kind of 'scrolling' thing, as part of it's 'Demo-mode"--that the owner's manual is useless to tell you how to STOP. I had to call JVC,to learn how to eliminate this Vegas-like blinking and flashing that I found to be VERY irritating. Last but not least, the TUNING is a nightmare....Give me an old-fashion KNOB that stops where you WANT it to.....instead of just running past the numbers for the station you want; while it's searching for a stronger signal.I guess it is a pretty big improvement over the old AM/FM-Cassette that WAS in this car....but for the money (under $100) there are better deals to be had--I should have bought the Pioneer! I'll mostly just play CDs in this thing....

Great entry level radio
Great entry level radio. I replaced an older unit without half the features. The aux input works great and the remote is perfect size.

Hard to set
To hard to operate. The volume and next song is about the only thing you can do without doing major button pushing. Review edit - I have got used to it now ,still jamming and sounds good,I Would recommend.
