Always enjoy Gene Autry and Smiley Burnette

I purchased the DVD because The Big Show was included. You can find The Big Show on cheaper DVD's but unless the DVD is produced by The SHOUT Factory or Timeless Media Group (authorized distributor of the Gene Autry Collection-several different volumes) you will receive a fuzzy truncated (55 minutes vs 71 minutes) version that cuts out the majority of guest acts.

Just a brief review, the quality is not as great as maybe I think it should be, but it seems they were last restored in 2004. Audio quality is a bit muffled, but overall not bad for movies of this era nor video of the late 90's early 00's. Very watchable. No issues with the disc.I'm only commenting on the dvd's themselves, however, as you can find plenty of movie reviews, or don't need to if you're into early 30's/40's singing cowboy movies any way.

In this 2-disc set we thoroughly enjoyed the first disc. The 2 movies melody Trail & The Big Show are delightful. But, the second disc was a dissappointment as ,only one of the movies played. Boots & Saddles played beautifully & is a good movie , but we couldn't play Rhythm of the Saddle. It just kept flicking back to Boots & Saddles, I am wondering if this was a fault with all copies of this disc, or did we get a lemon.? It is too expensive to send the disc back , but, I would like to know if this is a one-off fault or does it apply to all those discs. We would really like to get a copy of Rythm of the Saddle, but are afraid to risk buying it again.

The quality of the features and the audio are very good. Also with each feature is an episode of the Melody Ranch radio program. Being a baby boomer,it is enjoyable to sit back and watch the features from my younger days going to Saturday matinees. All the Gene Autry collector series are well worth the price.

Well done reproduction with great quality, but not quite what I wanted in Western.

I love campy westerns and Gene Autry's westerns bring back great times as a child. These remastered westerns are fairly good quality most everyone who enjoys the genre will appreciate.

I ordered this for my grandmother. Nothing more to say besides that the product arrived as expected and on time.

Great selection and quality print of these early Gene Autry films.I will be now be ordering collection 2 as soon as possible.
