What is the advantage of digital??

It is faster and more true to desired temp for appropriate fabric(s). The 'auto off' isn't necessary for me as I am old and was brought up to shut things off when I have finished!

I don't see the wattage anywhere in this description. Anyone know the wattage of this iron? Thanks!

I was going to give the same answer as Jeanette Peterson. Love my iron! I've had it for about 5 years and use it daily for quilting. I am also a seamstress doing wedding gowns etc. It has never failed me.

Not really lightweight but not too heavy. I think it is a really good iron for the price. I use it almost every day.

What is the weight of the iron

With water in it it weighs 3lbs, its a little heaver than my last iron but if you ask me it works better with a little more weight to it....I have some carpel tunnel and it doesn't bother me at all...I really like this iron.....
