I first decided to purchase Lovely because I just wanted to try it. Then after I bought it I actually read others opinions on it. I thought "Oh darn it! Well if I don't like it, one of my two daughters would take it off of my hands." Well...no way are they getting anywhere near it other than to smell it. I loved it. When I first sprayed it on I wasn't sure I was going to like it. It just seemed to smell like everything else out there right now. I didn't dislike it but I was hoping for something really different and unique. Within 10 minutes on me I couldn't stop sniffing the back of my hand where I had sprayed it. And as time passed, little by little within and hour or so I couldn't stop saying "I love this" and sticking my hand in my daughters face telling her to smell it now because it was really changing every minute that I had it on and it had turned into something truly lovely. As I said, I sprayed the back of my hand and later the back of my neck. I washed my hands about twenty times during the evening and I could still smell it so softly and beautifully on my hand. It really lasts. Several hours later my husband of 26 years walked in the door and couldn't keep his hands off of me. He kept saying throughout the entire evening how good I smelled. Well if he loves it, my 25 year old daughter loves it and of course I love it, then I would say it's likely you will like it or maybe love it yourself. It's worth a shot at that price for sure. Other reviews were really negative and if I had read them first I probably would not have bought it. It seems to me that the reviews are either "I love it" positive or "I hate it" negative. But I say you really should take the chance and get it. I don't believe you will regret it. I love it. I can't stress that enough. I haven't bought any new perfume for myself in many years because I am so picky. For upwards of 15 years I wore Liz Claiborne nearly exclusively until they changed it and now it just stinks. I can't ware it anymore which makes me sad because I always got a million compliments from everyone. I love Hypnotic Poison but it's a small fortune to buy the smallest bottle and it's not a perfume you would want to ware all the time. And then there is my favorite since I was a teenager, Heaven Sent. And since the company changed hands and decided to "reformulate" it and ruined it I just thought I was probably going to be doomed to be without that kind of enthusiasm over a perfume again. So thanks to SJPs Lovely, I have a new favorite that is just perfect for anytime and every day. It really is a very nice fragrance. Did I mention that I really love it?

Good scent. Great value.

I'm a complete fragrance girly. I have over 200. Now I'm done lol I've found my base signature scent. Perfect alone or to layer with a vanilla or fruity body oil or mist. I sprayed it on my skin, 4 hours later it's still there. I was amazed. Most very expensive scents don't have the lasting power. It doesn't smell cheap. You smell the floral, the spice and a sweetness as well. I'm mad I didn't find it sooner.

I've been wearing this perfume for a long long time I have other perfume so I don't wear this all the time I switch on and off with different perfumes but I happen to love the scent of lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker and the price is great I always get compliments on it it's woodsy and earthy and a little musky.

Light floral feminine I been using it since Sex in the City start viewing on TV . I'm not a floral perfume lady but the Musky Amber got me hooked

On the first spray I thought this perfume was wonderful and was very happy since it was a blind buy. Unfortunately, a few minutes later (once it dries on your skin) you can barely smell it, and within less than an hour you can't smell anything at all. I didn't expect it to last forever but this is ridiculous. I only buy cheaper perfumes and they always last for several hours; my favorite, a knock off for J'Adore only cost about $12 and you can still smell it the next morning! Guess I'll keep looking for that or go back to JLo Miami Glow, it's nice perfume that lasts too. I'm surprised that Sarah Jessica Parker would put her name on and promote something with such low quality. I had figured that even if I didn't like this scent a friend or family member would, but this isn't worth giving away. Maybe to a four year old to go with a play makeup kit. She could spray the whole bottle of this 'pretend' perfume water on without it being noticeable. So disappointed as it is such a pretty scent for the first few minutes. Edit: The scent doesn't even last sprayed directly on clothing! Don't recommend this at all, it is definitely a ripoff. Anyone who has paid for this bottle of water should get their money refunded. Don't waste your money on this!!!!

Kind of disappointed. I used to own this fragrance, back when it first came out almost 20 years ago. I remembered loving it and getting compliments. Wanting to be nostalgic, I wanted to add this to my extensive collection of perfumes. I read all of the positive reviews before purchasing it again. It was an easy decision to add to my cart and buy I was so excited when she arrived. I opened it right away and sprayed it to reminisce. Ugh. It smelled rancid. It was a sour, offensive opening but the dry down was kind of what I remembered. I checked the batch code and it was manufactured in September 2024. So I guess that means I have another year or so left until it becomes fully rancid. The price isn’t bad, so I won’t complain too much. I guess I’ll keep this bottle. Maybe I’ll layer her with another perfume. It’s not terrible, don’t get me wrong. The opening throws me off whenever I spray it, and I’m not instantly in love like I am with my other perfumes. I just wanted to share my experience that I wasn’t “wowed” and that I really wanted to love this fragrance like I did years ago. Who knows. Maybe they reformulated it.

Beautiful perfume! I had this perfume a year ago and recently after my friend had it on when she came around in the afternoon I recognised the smell I said your perfume smells lovely what’s it called as it smells very familiar and she said it’s called lovely.I said oh yes the Sarah Jessica Parker perfume.She had it on from early in the morning and I could smell it from her after 2pm in the afternoon when she came around She said she didn’t think it could be smelled from her and was very surprised so anyway I purchased a bottle from Amazon to treat my self 😊 Delicate luxury scent but I would say more suitable for every day wear not over powering and not sickly it’s just lovely!
