Better than disposable cots for me
I've been a nail/cuticle biter all my life and it's a destructive often painful habit. I have tried many methods to overcome this addiction and nothing has stopped it completely. I'm hoping by covering my fingers, I can stop. I tried disposable finger cots some time ago but I couldn't stand the feel or smell of the latex. These are reusable and made of a silicone - no scent at all. At first they seemed a little awkward to apply but I found that if I turn them almost inside out and place my finger/thumb in the tip and then flip them back over they are really quite easy to put on. So, why only 4 stars rather than five? They are a little thick and not conductive to use with electronic devices. I've only been covering my thumbs and first two fingers so I can use my ring finger for texting or playing mobile games. If they were any thinner, they probably wouldn't last long. One other thing I like about them is the thumb size fits on my big tow which has fungus. I can put tea tree oil on my toe and then put the silicone cot over it and it gets treatment without having to bandage or deal with a smelly mess in my sock. Tea Tree oil is very effective in treating fungus but it takes some time and daily application to work. So, I'm hoping these are an answer to my prayers for relief from both conditions.

They stay on your fingers well and are reuseable
These came somewhat flattened in a whole bunch of packages of 2 each. Works for me. There are basically only two sizes (finger and thumb?) so they may not fit everyone but they fit me and my boyfriend and our hand sizes are different so.... They can be rolled up and reused many times and can be washed. It does feel a bit weird wearing little covers on your fingers but perfect for protecting dry cracked fingertips while they heal.

They fit well and feel nice, but arrived with nastiness
Like most people, I needed these for my horribly dry fingertips. I've never before had such painful cracking, so I'm not sure if it's because I've recently picked back up needlework, or if my aging skin is just going to be another thing I have to deal with and this is my life now. Anyway, my main concern about buying anything like this online was if it would fit over my fingers and thumbs - they do! They definitely compress my thumbs, but it's not uncomfortable. They go on much easier when you're using a topical medium (oil, lotion), otherwise they just take a lot of adjusting to get comfortable, and they eventually do (but it is * a lot* of fussing with it). My stars off are for how disgustingly filthy they were and that they're individually wrapped in pairs. I did not want all the plastic waste - but it's literally unavoidable these days - and they did not specify anywhere that these would be wrapped upon wrapped (I've looked again just now and still no mention of it). And the absolutely disgusting-whatever was in one is unacceptable. I'm not even going to attempt to wash that one or the mate it had in the bag. I reluctantly am keeping the rest that aren't gross because I really need these and can't wait for something else to arrive.

Wonderful! An answer to a prayer!
I’ve been inadvertently destroying my hands/fingernails while pursuing my crafts (working in clay for jewelry making). Having to wash off all the clay to switch to another color was making my hands completely raw and I was getting clay under my fingernails and they were painfully breaking off. These finger cots are thicker than the throwaway kind. They are stretchy and comfortable. You can wash the finger cots and reuse them. I could never use other types of gloves because they were so clumsy and I wanted to feel the clay with my own hands. This comes very close to feeling like your own finger tips. An added bonus is your fingers become like silicone tools to be used on the clay surface! You can’t use a touchscreen with them, but if I need to answer a text on my phone (while doing artwork) I just hold a stylus with the finger cots on to touch the screen or just leave one of my pinkies unprotected in order to use a touchscreen! I’m hoping my hands will be healed in a week or so!

Just the thing when you need them!
Funny how such a little thing can make you so happy! I had cut a slice off of my thumb last week and because of the location, getting a bandage -- even the high tech ones -- to cover the wound AND stay in place was very difficult. Those thumb "cots" work-- bandages stayed in place but the trouble is, they are uncomfortable. So when I saw these I thought I would give them a try. Perfection! They cover the bandage, stay in place, are comfortable and waterproof. PLUS they are re-useable. They come in a variety of sizes and should be in every first aid kit.

Reusable, simple to use, I use them to keep cream on my cracked skin. They stay on overnight.

Nul

I have a real problem with cracked fingers and these funny looking things work like a charm to hold lotion and help the healing process… Surprisingly, they aren’t particularly visible on your finger as well and they certainly stay on better than Band-Aids. They are now a regular item in our family medicine chest. Highly recommended for anyone who suffers from painful cracked fingers or thumbs.
