This is a versatile kitchen tool. Its a good measuring cup. It's glass. That means it can or will break if dropped on your ceramic tile floor or your sink. That also means it will not absorb stains nor leach who knows what into the contents. It washes clean. I use it to measure water for coffee as well as a microwave safe container for heating water to make that coffee. In a pinch it can serve to make a good cup of joe with little else. [Please be aware IF you use this to heat water in the microwave! It is very easy to superheat water. The water may be 4 or 5 degrees F above boiling point without bubbles. Jostle the cup and here they come directing steam and bubbles upward and even outward. I noticed this when inserting a digital thermometer to monitor cooling water for coffee] *Add desired quantity of water and heat to boiling in the microwave. Wait 30 to 45 seconds for water to cool. (assuming you are at elevation below 4,000 ft) *Add desired amount of coffee and stir. Stir again after 1, 2 and 3 minutes. If possible keep cup covered during this time to maintain temperature. (This is more for maintaining brewing conditions than to ensure a hot drink.) The coffee grounds will saturate and settle. *After 4 minutes, carefully decant the coffee into whatever cup you are going to drink from. If you have a filter or even tea strainer you can use that. If necessary, you can drink from the measuring cup. Coffee grounds are gritty but they don't taste bad and won't hurt you! Versatile and useful kitchen tool.

I haven’t even had the product for 24 hours yet but I feel compelled to give it 5 stars already due to what it’s survived. This was delivered to me in a big cardboard box with one little strip of packing paper inside. Nothing else. No Pyrex packaging box. It was a loose glass cup in a big cardboard box rattling around in the delivery truck. It has 0 scratches or chips or anything. It looks brand new. It IS brand new. It earned my respect.

Right now I use this to measure Mueslix and hot water to make Mueslix, Oatmeal, and Instant Potatoes. Everything has cooked properly! Oh! And I measured Jasime Rice and the water for my Rice cooker! My exhousemate had several Pyrex Measuring Cups buy I've always leaned heavily on this size for decades even before the last move.

We used a frosted plastic measuring cup for several years (it came free with something), but it was horrible. It was too small for our regular baking tasks, was hard to read, and had lots of extraneous markings (sugar, flour, etc.). This glass measuring cup is a breath of fresh air. It's clear, has graduations from 100 to 500ml in 50-ml increments on one side, and various fractions of a cup on the other side. The markings are long and clear and definitive, the cup is easy to clean (the markings are on the outside, so you can scrub the inside without fear of erasing the markings). It's microwave-safe (e.g., if you need to warm up your liquid ingredients) and substantial enough to hold comfortably. I wish we had started using this long ago!

Jug is a great size I have struggled to get cup measure pyrex in the UK but have used Amazon global for a few purchases now and been extremely impressed with the ease of delivery as well as the items supplied.

Happy with this item, does everything it is supposed to.
