Speedo Unisex-Adult Swim Goggles Optical Vanquisher 2.0

My 14-year-old son absolutely loves these goggles. He has very bad vision and competes at the state level, and these have never been an issue during races—they stay securely in place, and he can see clearly. He has been buying these consistently for years, and each pair usually lasts about a year, which is impressive considering he swims almost every day. Reliable, comfortable, and perfect for competitive swimmers!

I wanted to wait 6-months to write a review. You cannot tell if goggles are good unless you have had them a while. I like that they are clear and not tinted, because I swim indoors. The corrective lenses give me vision better than my own glasses, which are multifocal. At first, they kept all of the water out. Now that I have worn them so many times, the rubber is deteriorating, which is normal. The lenses are starting to fog up now, where they never used to. I believe 6 months of a lot of use at this price-point is a very good deal.

Bought them for a cruise and they worked well. A little weaker than my actual glasses but good enough.

I bought three different brands of corrective goggles and these were the winners. These fit well and had the least tendency to leak. After a while I needed antifog spray but that’s true of all the goggles I bought. Vision correction is a game changer for me, and I never want to be swimming without these goggles! The only reason they aren’t 5 star is the nose piece issue. This comes with different nose pieces, but if you try to change them it’s almost impossible to get the new ones in place and the goggles will have a tendency to pop apart from then on. My advice is that if you can live with the factory nose piece then don’t mess with it for these goggles.

I’ve been really impressed with these Speedo Optical Swim Goggles — they fit comfortably and don’t leak, even during long swims. The prescription lenses are super clear and make a huge difference in the pool. It’s great finally being able to see underwater without sacrificing comfort or style.

I've always had myopia so I have never actually been able to see underwater until I got these. They really have changed my swimming experience and I couldn’t be more pleased. The fact that they are affordable and pretty cool looking is just the cherry on top. These do an excellent job of keeping water out of my eyes, they hardly ever leak and when they do it only takes a minor adjustment to fix it. The straps are thin and they look kind of flimsy but they are surprisingly secure on my head. I don’t recall these getting knocked off my face once, not even when diving. These are “inner eye” fit so they fit very close to the eyes. It might not be the most comfortable option for some people but for me it works best because I have eyebrow and anti-eyebrow piercings that get in the way of bigger goggles and prevent them from creating a proper seal. I have always had terrible eyesight for as long as I can remember. I’ve always loved swimming and from childhood I pretty much accepted it as fact that seeing underwater just wasn’t in the cards for me. Fast forward to now and when I happened to stumble across these while shopping for swim goggles I couldn’t believe it but I thought I might as well give them a try and WOW! I am so glad that I gave these a try because not only have they made swimming more enjoyable but these have made it safer (no more bumping into things or scraping my chin on the bottom of pool).

The nose pieces are IMPOSSIBLE to change - literally IMPOSSIBLE. The only way these goggles rate 4.5 by 75% of buyers is that 75% of buyers do not need to change the nose piece!

These are my first swim goggles, but also the first time I’ve been able to actually SEE in the water. I found the -5.5 to be accurate. Pretty much the same clarity that I get with my contacts or glasses. I got a slight bit of fogging towards the end of my session but versus usually not being able to see it’s not a big deal. As for the nosepiece I didn’t find it to be difficult. Speedo does have a walkthrough video on YouTube. It does take a bit of force so don’t be scared that you’re going to break something. You won’t. Helpful tip: the pieces are embossed with the size letter on the back side. Only the default one is unlabeled.

The goggles is like my optical glasses and helped me see underwater as if I am wearing my glasses.
