Warning: after several seed trials with various media these seeds had less than 50% germination

I too planted the basil in the ground and it appeared none of the seeds sprouted. I was suspicious so I planted some in pots, they came up like magic, a very high germination percentage. I suspect slugs are the culprit or some other insect. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the seeds, they are excellent.
