Great birks
Bought these for my 83-year-old father-in-law and he loves to wear them in the house as an alternative to slippers. It took him about a week or two to get accustom to it and to have his feet mold to the shoes, but he loves them and wears them every day and asked for another pair for the holidays.

Birkenstock comfort
I already own a pair of Birkenstock Arizona's that I have had since the mid 90s. They are like a comfortable pair of old slippers. I have had the soles replaced once and, three years ago, had the footbed replaced. They continue to be very comfortable sandals. That is why I purchased the pair of Arizona's I am reviewing here. First, they were a steal for the purchase price, less than $64. Second, they fit very well right out of the box. Third, they are made of the Birkenflor, simulated leather, and it really does feel like soft suede leather while also being more eco-friendly than a leather sandal. Finally, if you break them in properly, Birkenstock sandals last virtually a lifetime. Pay attention to the wear on the sole and that is all you'll ever have to replace. The Arizona's are comfortable, fit well, look great, and synch up with whatever you want to wear with them, trousers, slacks, dressier pants, jeans, or cargo shorts. No matter. I happen to reside in Arizona and so sandals are standard footwear more of the year here than elsewhere. My Birks get plenty of use and have stood the test. Great sandal! Great price!

A high quality old standby at a good price...
I've been wearing the Arizona style Birkenstock sandle for over 20 years (once in a while I take them off!) and my feet have the tanned zebra stripes to prove it! I live full time in my motorhome with my cat ( http://www.kg9e.net/fulltimerv ) and these fit right into my hippie, beatnik life style! I do a lot of solar powered boondocking, so these see all sorts of terrain and weather. They always seem to hold up very well.

As advertised
Fit as advertised. Always takes a bit for your feet to adjust to the cork molding.

Expected Excellence
These Birkenstock Birkoflor Arizona Sandals are exactly what I have come to expect from Birkenstocks. They are uncommonly comfortable. This is my third pair of Arizona sandals over the past thirty years. I wear them constantly, and they remain comfortable and incredibly durable, and you can send them to Birkenstock and have them "rebuilt" when they begin to wear out - and it takes them a very long time to become worn out. My last two pairs of Arizona sandals have been Birkiflor rather than leather. It's a personal preference to avoid leather. Buy Birkenstock products with complete confidence.

Love these sandals!
My second pair. I went with the faux leather on top this time for less money. I think i will get real leather next time as the inside is a bit itchy in the beginning. Otherwise great choice for a casual or in the house sandal.

UPDATED Review: Disappointed
Update: More problems - the faux leather upper is now tearing and the sandals are basically unuseable. It's only been a year and three months since purchase. When I bought Birkenstocks back in the early 90s, I wore them for almost a decade before the leather failed. I'm very disappointed in this purchase. Update - Longevity test fails. After only three months, the cork is cracking and falling apart on the heel of the left sandal, and the glue is giving way that holds the upper to the cork/side. These are not the Birks I remember. I spent a lot of money for a pair of sandals that I could have got at the dollar store. ------------------------------------------ I chose the Birko-Flor due primarily to price; they are significantly less expensive than the leather version. I was skeptical, but after wearing them for a couple of weeks (and I mean everyday, all day), I've come to really appreciate them. They have everything the leather version offers - the quality, the comfort and fit, etc. - but at a more wallet friendly price. We'll see about the longevity. My previous pair (essentially the leather version of what I have now) lasted almost a decade before I had to toss them. I'm curious as to whether these will provide the same long wear... So far, so good.

Good quality and fitting

Very comfortable to wear. The sandals appeared to “break in” much quicker than my last pair of Birkenstock’s.
