I got this for a very reasonable price through one of Amazon’s sales. We are having so much trouble with our furnace this winter that I needed something to help heat the house. This gives off a lot of heat and it can be adjusted to how warm you want it. On low it kicks when it starts to get chilly in here. On medium it stays on constantly with warm heat coming through. High heat is very hot so I don’t use that setting very much. At first when you turn it on it’s a little loud but quiets down after a few mins and you can still hear it but it’s not crazy loud or anything! So far it’s working great!

very good heater it work very well and heated up my apartment perfectly i love it and will buy another one just for back up in case i need more heat but so far this one is doing a great job i put it right to work as i got it !

It makes too much noise,but it keeps me warm. Omg, after 6 months, it started going off not working and now it gets too hot .my extension cord is melted and the cord gets so hot I unplug it,cause I didn't want a electric al fire. I would never but again. Dangerous item

Only have used for 3 months and has completely stopped working. The red light shows it’s on but no heat is produced. Absolutely garbage and a waste of money. I regret this purchase.

Worked fine for almost two winters. It pus out a lot of heat as it should at 1500 watts. However, 1) if it gets too hot, it will turn itself off. The orange lamp will go off. You then have to manually turn the switch off and wait ten minutes. After ten minutes, turn the switch back on and it will work again with the orange lamp back on. You do have to wait the full ten minutes. It will not cool off and work on its own. You must turn the switch off and wait ten minutes. 2) Dust gets sucked inside which will cause the heater to overheat prematurely or not work at all at the high setting. The first time this happened, I put a vacuum hose to the intake vent and cleaned it out a bit and it seemed to solve the problem, but only for a few weeks. I suspect I will have to open it up to clean it out correctly. As of right now, the medium setting works fine, but the high setting only works for a few minutes before it over heats. See point 1) above. So we are using it only on medium and it runs all day. However you only get half the heat - 750 watts. The price just went down to $37.99 which is why I'm giving four stars. If it was still $63.41 which is what I paid two years ago, I'd give it three stars. But decent large 1500 watt quartz heaters at a good price are hard to find these days.

I would recommend this space heater. The heat is easy to use and puts out plenty of heat. I brought two just in case I like them. I know that was a foolish move, but Black Decker is a name I remember and trust. The most important feature is how well does it heat a room. I have to said, I'm impressed with the amount of heat it puts out. The safety feature is a plus.

I needed a heater for my bedroom to keep me warm as it gets very cold. I did some research and learned that this type of heater with the quartz in it is supposed to be the best. As for safety goes, I do like the feature where if you just so much as tip it slightly over it will stop running and turn off. That is great in case of accidents. Also, it does not get to hot on the outside either when you touch it, it does not feel like it burning up. What I do not like is that it does not get hot quickly, but rather takes a long time and you have to leave it on. Once it does get the room hot, it works great to keep it evenly heated. But, I was looking for something for some type of immediate warmth and this is not it. I have to remind myself to turn it on way before I am going in my room as it takes like at least 30 minutes to warm it up. It works good but it is a gradual heat that takes time and also it is a little noisy also. It does seem durable and like it will last awhile.

After purchasing multiple space heaters, I found my favorite. I love the heat from this heater - it feels so much warmer and doesn’t blow air around or make beeps.
