Solid product works great.
I used this to hold a 5 x 7 rug with a rug pad on a wood floor. The hold is very strong and the rug does not move around. I wanted to reposition the rug after having it stuck to the floor for a year or so. I was able to pull up the tape and it did not damage my wood floor. Picture of my floor, where the tape was removed.

Works great in busy household!
I used this tape to secure a rug to my tile stairwell several months ago and it is still in place! We climb those stairs daily in our busy household and am super impressed that the rug has stayed in place! I also easily removed a few pieces of tape with a butter knife to not scratch my tile. I highly recommend this product!

HARD TO HANDLE
This tape sticks very well, once you get past the handling fiasco. It's hard to cut, due to the fact that it only has plastic on one side, so the tape keeps sticking to scissors. I'm going to try wiping my scissors with rubbing alcohol between cuttings next time. I hope that works. However, it also keeps twisting and sticking to itself and to my hands. It stuck to the rug very well. I just cut about 2-in.strips and put them in place. That made it a little easier.

Does the job
So far this is doing the job of keeping the stairs treads on my wood stairs. What more can I ask for?

It is not easy to remove.
It is not easy to remove. I wish that the manufacturer would give the information on how best to remove the residue from wood floors. Or show a video on how to do this and what chemical? helps do this.

Perfect for carpet tiles
I didn't want to ruin the plywood floor because I'm going to eventually finish it... So glue was out. I decided to use this tape based on reviews and I'm glad I did. I did the entire floor of carpet tiles with it. I swept the plywood floor really well first. Then what I did was layout the center of the room, and the first tile off of that. I think I did this differently than most but to me it worked the best. What I did was lightly traced the corners of the first tile with a pencil. I then tore the tape by hand, placed it at each corner on the traced tile on the floor. I pulled the paper backing off and placed the tile on top of the tape. Pressed firmly in each corner and I was on my way. You can then do the same for each tile and overlap the tape to catch corners of the next tile. But anyway this worked well and the tape is definitely heavy duty. At some points I couldn't get it off my hands.

Great Rug Tape!
I have used this product in 2 houses, one with vinyl plank flooring and one with hardwood flooring. This tape worked well on both surfaces holding cheap kitchen rugs in place and my one expensive Asian Rug. It held rugs down for over a year and when it was time to move, after getting a corner of the tape up with my nail, the pieces came up relatively easily if you pull a little at a time & did not leave any residue on the floors. Worth every penny!
