Champion Sports Deluxe Lacrosse Target: Ball Return Bounce Back Net Set for Professional, College and Grade School Training & Drills

We were in search of a high quality rebounder for lacrosse but didn't want to break the bank. This Champion Sports Lacrosse Pro Bounce Back fit the bill. The set up was fairly easy as my son and I were able to complete it in about 15 minutes. There are some steel tubes that slide into place and a couple of bolts to secure. The materials used for this rebounder are of high quality. If taken care of, I can see this rebounder lasting for years and years. Once set up, the rebounder is very stable and can be adjusted to multiple angles. The rebounding surface is basically a trampoline. It works very well and is very consistent based on how hard you throw the ball. The rebounder does fold flat for storage but it is definitely not what I would consider "portable". It is heavy and tall (unless you remove the lower legs). My boys have been using it every week and it has made a tremendous difference in improving their throwing and catching. In between uses, I fold it flat and store it in our garage. Overall, I highly recommend this rebounder and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again or recommend it to family and friends.

Purchased this in 2015 for the daughter (who now plays in college) and is now used by my youngest as well. Setup was easy and did not have any of the quality issues others have noted. This has remained outside, 365/24/7, through endless sun and occasionally what Southern California calls inclement weather and has worked great getting hundreds of bounces off of the surface daily. A brave spider tried to set up home on the back (eventually bailed out), the endangered Capistrano mud swallow tried to build a nest in a corner of the frame (eventually bounced out) but I am only now replacing the net because the dog knocked it over and it fell onto something that punctured it. Would strongly recommend for development of good stick skills.

Edited for further update 6/10/2019: We purchased this product through Amazon on April 10, 2019. It lasted until the end of May 2019 before catastrophic failure. We have been in contact with the manufacturers customer support and I will update as to how that process goes. Update #2 6/11/2019 After contacting customer support through both the website and telephone number provided on my Amazon.com past orders page I was asked to send photographs of the product for their evaluation. Approximately 24 hours later I received an email simply asking for my shipping details so that they could send me a replacement unit. I will provide a further update once the replacement is received and assembled, and consider changing my star review to reflect the prompt customer service response. Update #3 6/14/2019 The replacement unit arrived on 6/12/2019, exactly one day after hearing from customer service that they would replace my first unit. They did not ask me to send back the original, I may try to see if I can have it welded back together as it would be a shame to send it to the junk yard. The pipes which the new unit was constructed from were clearly different than those of my first unit. It did not exhibit any of the QC issues that made assembling the first unit very difficult, with all the pieces fitting together easily, albeit with a little bit of play. (Note: I would rather have a little play than have to modify to assemble.) All in assembly took about 20 minutes with the help of my 8 year old. I am going to modify my rating to 3 stars (from 1) to reflect the responsive customer service experience and the quality of the second unit, but also keeping in consideration the experience with my first unit and the inconvenience caused by having to replace it so quickly. I also note that reading through other reviews, the failure witnessed in my first unit does not appear to be uncommon, and I was fortunate enough to have mine fail within the 90 day warrantee period. Update #4 5/10/2021 Almost two years in, and after significant use last spring and summer, continues to perform very well. Stored outdoors last two winters and still holding up very well. Has been knocked over by wind multiple times and all of the welds have held. I am updating review to reflect excellent customer service response and performance of the replacement unit. I will update if required. ---- We purchased the product for our two children, ages 8 and 7, who are beginning to play lacrosse. Our decision was made based upon what appeared to be largely positive reviews and the attractive price point. Upon delivery the product appeared to be well manufactured and of good quality. Packaging includes simple but effective instructions and all the tools required to assemble (although if you have a decent tool box you will want to use your own). However, when we began to assemble the rebounder it became apparent that there were some quality control issues with the tolerances of the pipes not lining up and requiring some work to assemble. Once assembled the rebounder worked well for about a month. While it does not rebound as sharply as other more expensive units, it does return the ball at adequate speed. It is difficult to setup for more direct returns due to the inherent slope of the net in the highest position, but it was more than adequate for our children's purposes. Then one evening in late May (after about 40 days of ownership) we had some wind one evening which knocked the rebounder over face first (it is not very stable in its most upright setting), and it became very clear that the quality control issues we witnessed during assembly also pertain to the quality of the welding of the main frame. The frame that surrounds the trampoline rebounding net / surface broke on each side at the weld points holding the top and bottom halves together. The rebounder is now completely useless. You can now see, from the photos, how quickly the unit began to rust, raising further concerns over the longevity of the product. It has been stored outdoors in the Northeast US since delivery and assembly in mid April, so this shows less than two months life in normal (albeit rainy) conditions.

I bought this replacement for our STX rebounder, and it completely transformed it from old and worn-out to looking brand new again. The bright yellow border is not only sharp-looking but also makes it much easier to focus during drills. The material feels durable, the stitching is strong, and installation was quick and simple — I had it on in about a hour. It’s holding up great to daily use, and the bounce is solid. The only downside was the flimsy spring puller included. I recommend getting yourself a sturdier, higher-quality spring puller.

Perfect restore to the bounce back. Painted the frame orange and put this on kids thought I got them a brand new bounce back. Saved me a ton of $. Any idiot can install this. Don’t be wuss. Just get it.

Easy to hook up and replace existing rebounder net. It does not spring off like it should so very low quality rebounding.

Anyone who says this is difficult to set up must struggle with tinker toys. My 14 year old son had it assembled with no struggle whatsoever. The main rebounder board will be folded in half. Fold it flat (you will have to force it a bit against spring tension) and it will lock into place flat. From there it's common sense. The unit itself is very sturdy, metal poles are nice thick tubing and all hardware is of good quality. This is a nice big unit. I was surprised how large it was yet easy to move around thanks to the center pole that slides/locks. You can fold this thing flat and easily carry in and out of house or store on side of house flat. Excellent for wall ball drills and pass-catch-shoot drills.

I've had it for about months, it's holding up great.

Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Kids use it all the time and I can tell it will work fine for years and years. Probably outlive our need for it.

Bought it as a gift for my son’ birthday, arrived before the expected date. he plays on the rebounder every day after school, he love's it.

Installation was a challenge, springs very stiff, but overall fit well and rebounder is usable again. Return bounce is not as good as the original.
