Rust belt must have
This stuff is great. I have t say it is the best product I have ever used for protecting my old fleet of trucks and cars. I have not used it that long but it seems t be the best thing I have found for rust. I especially like the FLUID FILM for spraying under body to preserve brake lines and brake parts. Time will tell on how long it will last but it sure is a good lubricant and preservative. I plan on spraying and using on everything that sits outside that could rust.

I think it’ll work??
This is my first experience with undercoating but since I bought a gently used Chevy 2500HD and I live in northern Ohio I felt that I should protect my vehicle for the long haul. Firstly, I overbought. I got 2 gallons and planned on doing my truck, a small suv and a Honda Fit. Well after heating up the oil and using a spray gun, I used a single canister which I believe to be about 32 oz on my truck, that figure counts for 2 coats as well. I’m not too sure on some of you saying you used a whole gallon because I can’t see how that’s feasible unless it was brushed on (definitely not spending that kind of time on that big of a vehicle.) all in all, I have plenty of product for the next few years at least. The viscosity from the cold initially was like pudding but after heating it up with a turbo heater it became very maple syrup like. Do that and you’ll have no issues. Use a tarp too! It protects from overspray and you can easily slide around on the concrete lol Update March 2019 The rust proofing seemed to stay on during the winter. My fine mist did well from what the eye can see and as a tester to see how long it would last, I put it on the face of my tires much like a tire shine, and when I get my truck washed the tires still shine where I applied it! So screw all other tire foams just use this. I’ll be applying it again next fall for sure. Also it appears the price fluctuated based on demand by $10 so something to consider. I think the next time I apply the product I’ll try to find another way to make it very thin and sprayable, like a heating probe or a hot knife tool? I’m open to suggestions because kerosene is expensive and smelly. Good product!!

Works well!
Have used it to undercoat a side by side that is used in a tropical marine environment. So far it has done a good job at inhibiting the rust that eats everything down here.

Great lubricant, did also use it as a rust preventative, Time will tell on how it works for that.
Use the Fluid Film Pro undercoating gun to apply this stuff as an undercoating or rust preventative. See my review of that product for more on my long term test I will be reporting back on. I can say it goes on well, does not dry or create a dry shell. I can say this makes a great lubricant that fills the void between light oil and grease. I used it on my tractor 3 point hitch components and moving parts, lubing all of the pins on my attachments that live outdoors. Things slide and move easier now making things easy to put on and take off. It is easy on the hands, too. It stays like a heavy oil, which makes it likely to do well as a rust proofer as well. Time will tell if it makes a difference long term, and I will check back in with my results. If I were Fluid Film, I'd do a test vehicle and treat the passenger side (gutter side) with this product and do nothing to the other side. Show customers the difference after 5-8-10+ years online. If their product works, it would sell itself then. I would rate the product 5 stars if there were clear data about how effective it can be. For my part, I have no plans to do only half of my Silverado, and I have coated all areas I can access, so we'll see how long it takes old man winter to rust the treated areas. I will report back as time marches on with results.

good product
I like how this goes on has a nice texture and resistant to scratching. Used for my pickup bed and to coat my chassis.

Easy to apply, not able to comment yet on how well it works
I am in a perpetual battle with rust. I live in Michigan, and buy older high mileage cars for my family. I have tried many rust converter products. A neighbor told me about this product, so I bought a gallon to give it a try. What I like about it is the ease of application. I keep the gallon close by whenever I go underneath any of my cars and give a brush to anything that looks like rust, or even the signs that it could become rust... From an application standpoint, it goes on easily, covers well, and when I have gone back under the vehicle for other work, it seems to be holding up well. It's my first year, so time will tell if it holds back the rust. That said, I have found nothing that works hands down. Some products slow the rust down, but I have found nothing that stops rust in it's tracks. To give you an example of my yearly routine: Jack up the car on all four corners and remove the wheels: Wash the underbody, let it dry a few days, treat anything that looks like rust with a rust converter, give it a couple of days to dry, then retreat if required, or cover the treated area with rustoleum rust primer, give it a couple of days, then paint it with rustoleum shiny black paint. Then move to the next car, and the next car, and the next car. Repeat yearly. The one downside to this product that I can say so far, if it does not work, the are applied is oily/greasy and unlikely to be easily prepped for any other type of rust conversion/paint product.

Great stuff! Worked perfect!
Great price @ $40 a gallon! Went to purchase a second one and the price increased over $5 a gallon. Found it locally for $40 and will get my second one there. If they drop to $40 again that would be the best. Great stuff as I undercoated my truck with it for the winter. OK, So I want to give an update a few days after the application. I see some negative reviews that state the first rain storm and all the Fluid Film is gone. We just had a snow storm here in New England and I spent plenty of time on the roads and highways including 3 hours of driving HWY 95 with salt and snow a couple of nights ago. This morning I checked the wheel wells and the fluid film is still there. I will keep posting through the winter to give updates. So far....I am overjoyed. Update! It has been two weeks now and I have driven through some wicked weather. A lot of salted roads and the film is still in the wheel wells. Wanted to update on how much I used on the truck. We own a 2016 F350 crew cab which is a really big pickup truck. The wheelbase is the longest in its class so there is more area to cover than an average pickup truck. I use 6 cans of spray with the 24" wand in the tight places, doors and rocker panels. Then in the wide open undercarriage, I sprayed a full gallon and I warmed it up before pouring into the sprayer. I used a cheap $40 Harbor Freight sprayer which I included a picture. You can find a 20% off coupon online to get it cheaper. I will post updates as the winter season goes on.

That you do need an undercoating gun if you plan on spraying it and you may need to thin it
The consistency of the product is kind of like thin, peanut butter. Send it with low order mineral spirits with the rust proofing gun went on real well product worked real well. Will get back with the results later very happy so far.
