Hill's Science Diet Light Adult 1-6 Small & Mini Breed Dry Dog Food, Chicken & Barley, 15.5 lb Bag

Dogs love it!

Transitioning my 10-11mo shih tzu to big boy food started around this time last year. (He thrived on Hill’s Small & Mini Puppy Chicken & Brown Rice). It’s been a year of trial and error: 3 other Hill’s adult formulas, 2 other brands, vet visits—and lots of canned chicken, white rice and canned pumpkin. Since giving this 4th Hill’s formula a chance, I’m hopeful we’ve found the one. He devours it, it’s easy on his tummy. He’s healthy and full of energy. His stools are regular. High quality ingredients, and the ratios of protein : fats : carbs, etc, work for him. As for the kibble size, it’s super small. We’ve almost reached the bottom of the first bag. I reordered his first, second bag of big boy food, a year in the making.

Our Chihuahua loves the taste of Hill's Science Diet Light and the small size is perfect for her. She's a little pudgy sweet girl and nutritionally our vet is satisfied with her eating this brand daily. No more weight gain since we transitioned to this brand and we have not experienced any problems with her digestive system. We are definitely repeat purchasers. Will continue to buy.

So far, so good. I have the pickiest Chihuahua there is! I have overspent in trying to find something that she will eat. She literally will go on a "food strike" until I get so concerned that I feed her something from my plate. I know, huge no-no! I have tried wet foods & other dried foods. The Royal Canin for Chi's does not meet her expectations. So, out on a limb I go, again, and bought this. To my surprise she is eating it, so far. The bits are smaller than the Royal Canin too! Past the smell test also. Typically, she would do a "Drive by Smell Test" on anything. This she stopped at ate it. Keeping my fingers crossed. It has only been a week but, again, So far, So good!

I have a 9 Year Old SHIH-TZU/DACHSHUND, by the Name of CHUBAKKAH....Who She sounds like, when She's 'communicating' anything. Her Groomer will actually bring People in, to listen to Her. But, I digress.. Anyway, CHEWIE is THE Boss. She's also quite finicky about food, & also a bit overweight (about 2 lbs.). Getting Her to eat 'light' food, is near-impossible. Her Sister, BUNNY BUN-BUN (She hopes instead of running) is an 18 Month Old MINI SCHNAUZER, & is a 'reluctant' eater, because She waits for CHEWIE to give the OK (told You that CHEWIE is the Boss). I purchased this HILLS Small and Toy Lite, knowing that 'The Boss' likes HILLS DRY Food. Well, 'The Boss' is devouring it, & Her Sister does too, without waiting for 'approval' from Her Older Sister. I believe We have finally found the perfect dry food for BOTH of them. Getting ready to order the 3rd bag. Both Girls 'gobble ' this food, as if they're starving. CHUBAKKAH is still 'talking' & entertaining Everyone at the Groomers. 'BUNNY BUN-BUN' stands at 1 dish, while 'CHEWIE' stands at the other, & all I can hear is the crunch, crunch, of 'happy chewing '. By far this is the highest rating that Our 'Girls' have ever given dry food.

But expensive so thats why I gave it a 4 star. I have to buy every 3 weeks.

A good light and healthy product for your furry friend, with a nice quantity and ok smell. Was recommend by our Vet.

Excelente comida para perros de tamaño pequeño. Los granos tienen el tamaño perfecto para razas como chihuahua, lo que facilita que la mastiquen sin dificultad. A mi perrito le encanta el sabor y he notado que le sienta muy bien, sin problemas digestivos. Además, el empaque mantiene el alimento fresco y trae la información clara sobre porciones y nutrientes. Muy buena relación calidad-precio, sin duda la recomiendo para quienes tienen perros pequeños.

He’s such a picky eater that he never sticks to one food longer than a few weeks. But this food is making a difference. He’s excited to get his meal every day and he finishes the bowl. Amazing ! And with great nutritional value.

Un muy buen producto, me gusta porque las croquetas tiene un tamaño super chiquito y como mi mascota es muy especial no come casi ninguna otra croqueta solo comía proplan porque vienen chiquitas, pero con estas croquetas no tuve ningún problema, lo que me hace pensar que tiene un sabor muy similar, el único inconveniente que note es que hace mas veces del baño 💩💩💩 Pero recomiendo mucho este producto, lo utilizo porque tenemos un perrito castrado y estaba subiendo mucho de peso, ahora ya esta recuperación el peso ideal y esta bastante saludable
