Hole in is designed to be there and is important!!
Unit looks well built with oem fit. It bolted right up with no issues. *For those who are giving this negative feedback because of the "Hole" in it. It is designed that way!!! The exhaust creates condensation as the exhaust heats up, creating water and vapor in the exhaust system. This hole is for the water to drain out, and not sit inside the muffler to rust from the inside out!!

Perfect fit for 2012 Civic EX. Quiet as the OEM muffler.
A friend installed this, but I helped. He had no complaints. The muffler went right on with the new gasket and bolts. Now quiet. It's like nothing ever happened.

Rusted and failed after 3 years.
Three years in and the whole area that bolts the resonator to the exhaust broke off. The whole surface of the muffler is spotted with rust. The size was perfect and went on nice and easy, was just as quite as the stock muffler. Just overall disappointed in how short this lasted. Before this I had the stock muffler from the dealership in 2012 up until 2022.

Bought April 2023. Jan 2026 and about 10.000km and this thing fell off totally rusted out. Dont waste your money !!!

I purchased this muffler to replace the original one which had lasted more than 9 years. This replacement barely lasted 3 years. It broke from the pipe connecting it to the engine while I was on highway. With the muffler exhaust pipe in place, the muffler body started to scratch against the asphalt at that speed. Once we removed the muffler, it was rust covered (the original one looked nicer after 9 years). I'm not satisfied with the product claims: CORROSION RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL and BUILT TO LAST.
