Shimano Housing Stop for 1-1/8" Down Tube

These are great, I wish I could give them 10 stars. I have an old Specialized road bike that I liked but hated the shift on the tube so I haven't ridden it in years. Nobody wants older bikes with that feature so it was headed for the dumpster. I was interested when I saw an online video where someone had converted an old bike to a modern handlebar shift using these adapters that screw into the old shifter mounts and anchor the new cables coming from the handlebar. I purchased these and a handlebar shifter/ brake kit on Amazon with cables and it works great! The adapters came with everything needed and fit the tube mounts perfectly. The front and back gears, brakes, and shifting apparatus is unchanged and works fine. Sure, this old steel road bike is heavier than a modern one but for commuting it is perfect!

Very good. Precise fit. Has cable tension adjust. Durable. No problems at all since installation over 3 months ago. Make sure you get the right type as there are a couple of housing stop types. It's just a little pricy for what it is.

Purchased to use as cable guide and chain tensioner for my commuter bike. Easy to install with an Allen wrench. Durable and lightweight. Have had on bike for several years and had no issues. Shimano always delivers the goods and service this is no different. Highly recommend.

These are worth it! Look better than ones replaces on my 24 year old Bianchi.

These things are reliable, no frills, and bombproof. Great for adding modern shifters to DT shifter bikes. Great price here too.

The stops are essential for converting a classic bicycle to modern handlebar mounted ergonomic shifter brake levers. Modern shifiting is no longer on the downtube. That went out with 7 speed rear blocks. The modern 10 and 11 speed bicycle components are commanded from the brake levers which serve as gear shifters as well. These parts allow you to convert the bosses that used to hold the downtube shifters into passages for the shifting cables. They work seamlessly and allow for midstream cable adjustments.

Perfect for replacing down tube shifters with bar mounted ones. Fit great, Shimano quality. Additional adjustment point for your shifter cables that you can work from the saddle if needed. Slightly spendy for what they are, but worth the fee extra bucks.

Nothing to dislike, it does what it was made to do. There's no play once installed, easy installation very good quality. Very happy to have purchased this particular item. 10/10

Es muy fácil colocarlos, traen 2 tornillos allen de M5, quitas las palancas originales en caso que las haya y colocas estos accesorios que permiten ajustar la tensión de los cables de cambio y desviador permitiendo un mejor ajuste. Las he utilizado para actualizar un cuadro Vitus con 30 años de antigüedad.

Good quality I have not install them but they look very good

J ai acheté ces butées d arrêt pour remplacer les manettes anciennes fixées sur le cadre pardes manettes de changement de pignons et de plateaux eu guidon, plus facile à utiliser et plus précises. Le changement se fait en quelques minutes juste enlever les 2 vis et en remettre une pour fixer les 2 butées d arrêt de câbles. Aucune difficulté. Articles de bonne qualité. Article difficile à trouver.
