The Best Cup I've Tried for Heavy Days
I have been using this product since May 2021. I never write product reviews, but to be honest, this product has been so good for me that I felt I should. I have tried other brands of menstrual cups, and the larger ones seem to be either too soft or not big enough. The large size is perfect for my heaviest day. I used to go through a super tampon about every 1-2 hours, and even with 25-27ml cup, I would have to get up once or twice at night to change it. With the large Venus cup (max of 47ml), I have had no problems sleeping through the night and no big rush to empty it in the morning either. It doesn't seem to by physically much different than other brands, just wider at the base. I have found that the wider base is helpful because you can sort of feel it getting heavier when it is about half full... so I can 100% relax. I know it isn't leaking or about to be full to the brim. It is comfortable and only noticeable if I think about it. I don't worry about going for long walks, getting up in the night, or running lots of errands. On heavy days, I can easily wear it for 6+ hours without a problem. I decided to write this review because I realized that I often forget that I have my period now, even on the heaviest day. It is not a big deal anymore. I don't know that it is life-changing, but it is definitely life-improving. The learning curve for me was incredibly short. I figured out that a z-fold works best on the large cup on my second insertion and have had no further issues. It is much firmer than other high capacity cups... It is so quick and easy to put in that I use it for the entire cycle and don't bother with the small one. I believe it comes with a pamphlet on different ways to fold it, for people new to cups. I've found that a z-fold, gentle tug out, and then push back in gets it set perfectly. As for removal, the width of the base makes it easy to grab, which breaks the seal with no problem. For those who have used cups before, you won't have any issues with insertion and removal. That's it. I'm a fan, and I don't think I'll be investing in any other styles or sizes until Venus inevitably tweaks their design and ruins it. Companies love doing that.

My favorite cup!
During my first attempt to use menstrual cups about three months ago I tried Lena cup, Lily cup and this one - This stood out immediately among the three. Now after two cycles, growing pretty familiar and comfortable with using cups, I can confirm that this one is by far my favorite (and the best one is surprisingly the cheapest!). I have medium/high cervix and medium flow. This cup is easy to insert and remove (I had to switch from punchdown fold to C-fold when inserting it though because of the slightly fatter base compared to the other two brands). I find this one is the easiest to break suction because of the straight air holes, which are less likely to be clogged by blood. It's soft and comfortable; it stays in place and I don't feel it. Also I like it that it has slightly increased capacity without increasing size too much. I haven't given birth to a baby before so I find large cups hard to use but wish that small cups of other brands can hold just a little bit more. I found this cup's size and capacity just perfect for my flow. I wear it 12hr straight without problem. Most importantly it doesn't leak at all!! Neither of the other two brands can achieve this for me. I can literally forget about it even during my heaviest days (and nights). No need to rush to the toilet first thing waking up anymore!!

Finally....My Goldilocks Cups!
I LOOOOOVVVVVEEEE these cups! I waited before I did my review. I have used these cups for 3 months now and love them!...So Yes!...My Own Godilocks Cups!...At least for me it is!...The right capacity....not too big...not too small...not to too long...and it opens!...EASILY!...I mostly use the larger cup because I need a larger capacity due to my heavy flow! On my heaviest days which is day 2,3 and sometimes 4, of my 5 day period, I need a very large capacity cup! I can fill a cup about every 2 to 3 hours on my heaviest days...on other cups I've tried like the Eva Cup, Diva Cup, and Femmy Cup. I tried the Super Jenny and the capacity was very good, but I had a hard time with opening the rim and would experience leaks...a lot...mostly on my heaviest days!.. UGH!...Actually!...All the other cups I've tried that I mentioned above...I would have the same issue...fighting with the rim to open properly!....The Venus Cup...for me and my body...is the best underrated, affordable cup going around! It opens easily...it has a ring in the middle to topof the cup to help open properly. The grip rings are not intrusive. I have to cut all stems on my cups...so I can't review that. The smaller cup...I didn't even think I was going to use...at all..BUT...I notice that on my really light days sometimes my cervix moves lower and the larger cup is a little uncomfortable...so I find myself using both to my suprise!...I love the packaging...and It comes with not 1...but 2 bags to place your cups in!...I also comes with very detailed instructions for everthing from insertion...to storage...to cleaning properly!...All in a colorful booklet...with diagrams to help!...I understand that these cups will not be for every BODY...but I have been using cups for over 5 years and happen to have a medium length cervix that sometimes moves low on some days...and was beginning to think that leaking cups was just going to be a thing I had to just deal with....I really hope this helps someone.

Summit of beauty and love 🎶
This is my first period using this high capacity cup, and let me just say it does it's job beautifully. Anybody else have that Bananarama song stuck in their head? I'm an experienced cup user, having tried different brands over a period (no pun intended) of over 9 years. Inserting it was different from the usual. The bottom of this cup is very soft! The rim is where the firmness is. I'd say it is slightly less firm than the Saalt cup. When inserting, I have to make sure the cup stays folded before I jostle it to release and seal. It cannot exactly be pushed up from the bottom like with other cups. The stem comes in handy. I usually cut off my cup stems but with the Venus cup it seems more practical to leave it intact. It does not bother me. My periods got very heavy these past 2 years. This cup keeps me covered on my heaviest 2 days and overnight. Paired with a Bambody period panty this thing is unstoppable! I only have to change maybe 4 times on my heaviest days and 3 or 2x on my medium flow days. This cup does not feel uncomfortable when going number 2. The small Venus cup holds 29ml, compared to my small Saalt holding 25ml. Removal is slightly more tricky. Because the cup is long, breaking the seal takes a little more effort, but nothing too crazy. You just have to reach up further. This cup is very comfortable, very mindfully designed (all the measurements, labels and logo are on the inside of the cup, the rim is smooth, and the grip is a beautiful floral motif rather than boring rings. It gives the cup practicality and beauty. Pros: Comfortable Practical Easy to use Pretty shape and color High capacity Affordable Cons: One day learning curve Very soft bottom Makes a full bladder feel more urgent? (Or is it just me?) Disclaimer: (I purchased the purple and aqua storage baggie separately, from the Saalt website actually, because I did not like the baggie the Venus cup came with)

Awesome!
A few years ago I decided to try switching from tampons to a cup. It seemed like a better more natural choice financially and environmentally. I started off with another brand, as I was new to this and it had pretty good reviews. Since then I’ve tried a few different brands because I couldn’t seem to find one that was easy to insert without staying all crumpled up and leaking, East to remove without having a larger uncomfortable tab to pull and one that could handle my extremely heavy periods. I was emptying the cup literally every 40-45 minutes if I was lucky. I decided to try the Venus heavy flow cup with not very high expectations, as the other cups were meant for a heavy flow as well. I am truly impressed with its performance. I’ve read good reviews about the other brands I’ve tried but they never exceeded my expectations. The Venus cup is absolutely the best cup out there. And I’ve tried almost all of them looking for the perfect one for me. I’m in my mid 40’s and my monthly cycle is extremely heavy. This cup let’s me go at least an hour before emptying it. No leaks, it sits up in there nice and tight and is not uncomfortable. I have no issues inserting it or removing it. It holds a good amount of fluid and honestly it’s budget friendly too. This is one cup I would definitely recommend to anyone who has a heavy cycle or a short cervix such as myself. I think my search is over. I’ve found a good quality menstrual cup.

Decent product
I have a heavy flow on two days of my period. I also own a Diva Cup in size 2, which is smaller than the L Venus. The Venus holds more, but both cups leak on my heaviest days. I have to wear a maxi pad with the Venus on those days. Then the cup needs to be emptied and the pad changed after about five hours on those two heavy days. It’s not that the cup is full: it just leaks if my flow is heavy. It doesn’t leak as much as the Diva, which is why I own two cups. The Venus is physically harder than the Diva. It is also noticeably bigger and more difficult to insert and remove. It actually hurts to insert and remove, but it will pop open consistently once in. It takes patience to work with this cup. But the leakage is less than with the Diva, which is important for overall security when on my period because I often have to wait hours to empty my cups.

POSSIBLY MY NEW GOLDILOCKS CUP <3
I got the two pack, it came with small and large, two bags, and probably one of the most descriptive user manuals I’ve ever seen. Which is a good thing for new people!!!! So I did a dry run with this cup because I won’t have a cycle for another month, and I’ll edit this later. Any who, I have 3 cups prior to this one. My main cup that I always go to is my diva cup size 1. I got the large Venus because it’s about the same length as the diva cup, but holds more due to the shape (which I can’t wait to see how long it takes to fill on those heavy days!) for once I didn’t have to remove the stem on this cup! It’s short but very bendy and doesn’t poke me like all my other cups do. It opens with ease when inserted (I use the punch down fold with all my cups.) when inside, it doesn’t push on my bladder like my saalt regular cup. And removal was easier than my diva cup (I think it felt better because it’s smooth and rounded unlike my diva cup which is cone shaped and pointy.) so far I’m sold! Perfect firmness (same firmness as a diva cup which is a level 3), opens very easily, comfortable stem that I don’t have to remove, removal is less irritating due to how smooth it is, and better capacity due to its shape. So if you like diva cups, then this is definitely an upgrade for you, or if you found the diva cup was a tad too long, the small will be a nice option due to it being a few mm shorter. (The size small is also a nice starter size. Little smaller in length and width. Smaller than my size 1 diva cup. But a good starter size, not to big and not to small. I’ll be giving it to my friend because I wanted the big one, and for a few extra dollars I got both. ) (Edit): so I finally got to use this on my cycle and I’m in love. My heavy days don’t feel heavy with this cup because it holds so much. My diva would fill up after about 3 hours on a heavy day. Out of fear I checked at a 4 hour mark on my heavy day, and it didn’t even reach the half way mark. I haven’t had leaks At all. And removal is so much nicer feeling on my body Due to the round soft base (my diva cup made me sore or it jabbed me during removal. ) I’m pretty sure I have a new Goldilocks. I still love my diva cup.... but I think I love my Venus large more <3

Perfect for high cervix!
I struggled with the Diva cup (both sizes) on and off for several years. The cups were personally too hard for me and would migrate so high up I had an extremely hard time removing the cup. Not to mention that the rims seemed to push on my bladder and no matter how small I'd try to squish the cup on removal, it was painful! Fast forward to quarantine and I decided to give menstrual cups a try again. I did a ton of research and while the quiz on the Put a Cup In It website suggested the Lily cup for my high cervix (which I didn't realize was a thing until I found that website!) the Lily cup sadly ended up being just too soft and getting a good seal every single time is difficult. (Though when I did manage to get a good seal the Lily cup was great!) Since the Lily cup experience was so-so for me I kept searching and that's when I found the Venus cup on Menstrual cup previews website and decided to try the starter kit as the price was perfect for both sizes. I love it! I haven't tried the small size as my flow this month was super heavy. At first I was leery by how big the large appears but once I get it in and into the right place it fits perfectly. Weird thing about it though is for every other cup I've tried I always use the 'Punch Down' fold. However, for me and the large Venus cup, the only fold that works is the 'C' fold. Go figure!? I don't always feel or hear the pop of the cup opening but this cup was easier for me to nudge back and forth and up and down and every time I gave it a chance it did open up properly and make a seal for me with not much extra effort or having to remove it and try again. Also I was leery about the big round base of it and expected it to push on my bladder or feel uncomfortable. It's not the case! It's also not difficult for me to grab the base of and break the seal. With my high cervix this cup, because of its size, doesn't travel so far up that it's difficult to get out. I don't trim the stem at all and can find the cup easily (REMEMBER NEVER PULL THE CUP OUT BY THE STEM! IT'S JUST TO HELP YOU FIND THE CUP TO REMOVE AND ALSO SHIFT THE CUP INTO PLACE AFTER INSERTING!) The rim is much softer on this cup than the Diva's and though the Venus is larger, it is not near as painful to remove as the whole cup itself is a bit softer in feel than the Diva (though nowhere near as soft as the Lily cup) I'm still learning this whole process but I have to say that 9 out of 10 times I have gotten the Venus large in, opened properly, gotten a good seal and had no leaks! It holds a lot and it great for us super heavy flow ladies. I'm very glad I tried this cup and I think it may definitely be the one! Every woman's body is different and what works for me may not work for you but if any of the issues I've mentioned or comparisons to other cups sound similar to you then this cup might be the ticket for you as well. Also as a side note, after purchasing the cup I got 2 separate emails from the Venus cup company through Amazon, one with a separate .pdf of the instruction manual (which by the way is the best I have seen for ANY cup! It's full of great info!) and the second email was just reaching out to make sure everything was okay and seeing if I was happy with the cup/had any questions. While most of the time I get a bit annoyed by this kind of email, I found this really nice of the company to do. Especially in making sure I had an extra manual! You rarely get that sort of extra treatment and I appreciated their effort.
