Anchor Hocking Heritage Hill Glass Drink Dispenser, 2 Gallon

05/04/22 Was finally contacted by customer support. I told them the condition of second unit and they apologized for condition. They said the only thing they could do is try one more time. I received the 2 gallon dispenser today and in direct sunlight could not find any obvious flaws. My mom said it looks so much clearer than any other and she is 90. It is a beautiful glass work. Worthy of: "MADE IN USA". 04/15/22 I wrote review after a few days of use. Found defects in glass and contacted Oneida & Anchor Hocking. From Sept 2021 to Jan 14 or so tried to get a response and was eMailed they would send a replacement Jan 16, 2022, but I would have to wait 8 to 10 weeks. Never did receive anything after 80 or so days. Started eMails again. No response. Couple weeks latter an Anchor Hocking package was outside. No notice, tracking, nothing. Opened package and replacement had really bad defects, much worse than first. eMailed photos and have never received a response. The original has never leaked in 6 months. My main concern are flaws like this in glass will usually break. Water after all is about 8.33lbs per gallon, or around 20.825lbs with 2.5 gallons it holds. Spout is inches from the countertop and requires stand, unless you set on edge which usually ends in knock off accident. Wanted sleek but minimalistic looking stand for water container. Easy to install, with included Allen wrench, not Phillips head, thank goodness. Phillips would never sink screw into bamboo wood without stripping head. Lite weight, but very strong, rated at 175lb capacity, and with an 8.84lb dispenser and ~2.5 gallon capacity at 8.34lbs per gallon x 2.5 = 20.85 + 8.84 = 29.69 lbs of glass and water. Visit the X-Chef Store $16.99 X-Chef 2 PCS Stainless Steel Replacement Spigot for Glass Jar & Drink Dispenser. I believe the X-Chef quality is second to none, of the $15 to $20 spigots, and that is 2 for less than average price of one. Installed 2nd on ancient Ceramic dispenser, looks really good and old plastic spigot is gone from it as well. Total $62.97, but remember that is 2 spigots. Tried to write this to help a novice or person looking for good quality products at a descent price, that to me, look really good together. Check out photos.

**UPDATE: 1 month into it and the spigot leaks a lot, mainly at the base. I've decided to get stainless steel after all - just need to carefully pick a good one and inspect it before installation (they tend to have metal debris and stains even before first use)** It's exactly what I wanted size wise, glass lid instead of metal lid (which tend to rust), wide mouth so it's easy to pour water into it daily as we distill water at home, acrylic spigot instead of stainless steel (which, again sometimes rust). Not one flaw in the glass so it looks perfect on the counter. It came well packaged with the spigot already installed. I only needed to tighten it and done! Pours fast too. Highly recommend.

Just realized I now have a soggy spot in my carpet after finding the back of the bowl has a fracture in the curved part of the base. It’s slowly leaking and no longer can’t hold water. It would be nice to receive a replacement item as this bowl is no longer capable of holding liquid as its purpose. Officially garbage for my use. This was my second order with the first container coming in perfect. I would love to get a replacement, but I had already threw away the box that came in thinking my second order would’ve been just like the first.

I love the size and shape of these. They fit in the refrigerator together so much better than 2 round pitchers. They feel strong and sturdy. They are easy to hold (except a couple older people w/some arthritis in their hands had difficulty when the pitcher was full.) The only thing that I felt was negative about them is that the lids don't seal. They loosely lay in the neck of the bottle allowing refrigerator odors, such as garlic, to absorb into the tea or juice in the pitcher. The lids should be more form fitting like a plug or made of a "stickier" material like silicone. But I will not return them over that.

I use these bottles for several things, like making cold-brewed coffee, for cold fridge water, iced tea, juices. So happy to find them here so they match the ones I already had. They have a rubbery stopper top that used to come in 3 colors, but only white on here. The diff colors help me ID coffee vs tea. But I noticed when I hand wash the stoppers, they get sort of sticky and remain that way after drying them. Now I know what's causing it. The liquid dish soap is doing it. I use 2 diff kinds, both with OXY, and they're very potent. Once I switched to (brand name rhymes with Mivory) clear, with no dyes or oxy, the rubber stoppers feel normal again. Now I'm using it on all of my glass bowl plastic lids, too. I'll bet they'll last a lot longer that way and not crack or fall apart. Oxy dish soap is highly touted in vids for clearing toilet jams, and that's maybe the best use for them. Or for washing glass or metal dishes. But NOT for my plastic and rubber dish items anymore!!

Great for brewing Kombucha. Most of the complaints seem to be about leaking faucet, it needs to be well tightened before use. No leak issues once that is done.

El grifo es de plástico, de muy mala calidad y viene mal sellado, el agua chorrea. El producto no funcional. No lo compren
