Lightweight but sturdier than such weight might suggest, this user couldn't help but notice and appreciate the tight tolerances under which this product was constructed. The multiple sections - each having a specialized purpose different than that of any and all of every other part - fit together like fingers sliding into a well-made and well-fitted glove. From fire-starting to felling trees, the user of this Tyger shovel need not have a desparate need to dig a hole. However, should such need arise, it'll handle that one, too. This tool is so finely made one suspects when up for sale it might belong in a jewelry store window as anywhere. It'll also fit in an already too-packed trunk, so little is the required space for the muti-, muti-purpose tool. Indeed, so thoroughly considered in its build, the pack within which the Tyer shovel is contained has a number of carrying options including a simple (but sturdy) belt loop. If the reader has a need to be prepared for just about anything, it's hard to imagine this shovel won't be an important part of a purchaser's emergency equipment for his or her vehicle. However, it does have one negative of such proportion that it just might cancel a sale: it doesn't have an oxygen supply among that of the tool's multifaceted equipment supply. Still . . .

Okay, I haven't actually used the shovel yet, but I gotta say I'm so impressed with the build quality of this thing as well as the overall package it comes with. Every piece feels incredibly strong and sturdy, the fit and finish of the individual pieces and how they screw in to each other is top notch. Honestly the whole kit feels extremely high quality, down to the shovel sleeve and the carrying pouch itself. I have no idea if the little tools actually have any utility to them (other than the screwdriver) and I don't care--just the shovel itself feels fantastic. I really hope the 1-star reviews with the broken blades were down to a bad batch of steel or something, because I really want to have this thing around for a long time. It's a pleasure to behold.

I just received this shovel and the quality is OUTSTANDING. The organization of the pouch is well thought out and the shovel and screw in components are high quality and the fit is strong. I work off road rescue and this tool will be a great addition to our specialty tools. It is expensive but well worth the value. I would recommend this tool as it will last for years and years. Look at it a a safety investment.

Because this shovel is sturdy, it’s a tad heavy, which is to be expected. I like it, and I wish I could also purchase the entire set of handle segments (minus the survival tools within) in order to greatly extend the handle length into a hiking staff (with shovel blade at the top) while hiking. I see they sell a single segment to extend the handle, but it would be great to have a set of empty segments. It’s a well built shovel.

I'm very impressed with this implement! It is robust as it shows on the videos. The craftmanship they put into this is high quality. I like the thickness of the blade and I like the hollow tubes for adding additional bushcraft tools and supplies like fishing line and hooks and fire starter. The only suggestion I have is to rubberize the hand grip instead of that foam, but it is a minor imperfection. I have a feeling I'll be using this tactical shovel for many years to come and I can't wait to go out into the woods and start implementing this into our camping trips and hunting trips. I am very impressed of the quality and sturdiness for the price that I paid. But a lot of these shovels are going for 150 plus if not more. This is a good bank for your buck. Thank you, tiger

Just click the Buy Now button. I love multi-tools, but I am often let down by them - cute but they rarely are durable. As soon as I got this I took it out and BEAT THE HELL out of it, because I really didn’t think it was going to be as good as I wanted. It’s sturdy! It is compact. The pieces were well thought out. The ONLY thing I can find to complain about is that I want another handle piece or two to make it longer. Other than that - every piece is very well built and very useful. Oh! And it’s sooooo light especially for being as durable as it is. So if you are worried about adding weight to your camp pack - no - it’s so good.

Ok, I almost didn’t order this shovel because of a couple of negative reviews that were posted. But then I saw that the company responded to those reviews and stated that it stands behind their products. Furthermore, I noticed that the vast majority of the posted reviews were positive, so I decided to give it a try. Best decision!!! I am very pleased with the quality of this tool. It is clearly a well-designed, high quality product! I immediately took it out and put it to the test. I started digging, chopping and sawing with it. Perfect!! I can’t find anything on it that I do not like. It is super strong, very easy to use and feels really solid in my hands. Impressed!! Heck, even the case that comes with it is made from high quality, thick cordura with wide, strong zippers. Wasn’t expecting that...Bonus!! If you are on the fence like I was, just order it! You will not be disappointed with this amazing survival shovel.
