Super easy to install, just plug all your devices to the deck and connect the deck to your machine. You have the option to connect to your machine via USB or USB type C. Versatile and practical. For better use you need to install the display link app on your laptop. Once this is installed and detects the deck your laptop will be able to share with 2 external monitor while preserving the independent visualization on each screen. No delays and no issues with image clarity. This was the only solution for M1 chip macs that wont display in multiple screens. The one thing to note is that video streaming is no supported with safari when in this sharing mode. However, if you change and use firefox for the streaming the problem is solved and you can keep all your screens plus your streaming or live tv. Totally worth the price. UPDATE: I use my laptop daily (I'm a college student and it travels with me in my backpack, purse, and around the house...) and it has just recently in the past few weeks begun to show obvious signs of wear (other than the keypad cover- that shows wear just a couple of months in, especially on the space bar). The actual shell case has begun chipping on the corners... I know this is due to sitting inside the laptop pocket inside my backpack, and then setting my backpack down on the ground. I don't set it down carelessly, but setting a laptop *with a case on it* inside a backpack down on a hard surface or ground will cause it to break or weaken over time... That's just to be expected unless it's a case that is meant to live on forever and ever. Because I love this case so much (it's SO CUTE) I'll be getting another one. 8 months of continuous use is pretty great in my opinion. I wish I could last a little longer, but it's too be expected. I'm not sure if it was designed this way but if you place the \"Box\" by instinct, with the cables in the back, then you are doing it wrong or there is a better way. Which then begs the questions as to placement of ports v. placement of bright-blinky lights v. \"Box\" orientation. It seems that standing the \"Box\", with the cables on the top, is a better situation. Putting the stack of cables just behind a monitor (on stands before mounting on a latis - the walls need new, greed bleed), allows for the hiding of the cable stack but keeping the pretty lights in sight, just under the frame. I say go for it. If you got the bread to spend and the need to juggle chaos in a manageable and recognizable form of insanity, who am I to discourage you. But remember, once you taste the Dark Side, you'll need another shot in the morning... at exactly 9:30 AM, NYSE-ST. Just don't leave it directly under the edge of your monitor. I'm not sure what dripping pixels will do to the electronics while exposed in its upright position. What is your expectation of a case at this price point? For me, it covers all aspects of the exterior that I need covered. When closed the hinge spine is exposed, but it has to be or else it wouldn't open. The hard case does pick up some smudges, but they do wipe off. I use dish soap on a paper towel, but use whatever works. I wouldn't spray case directly, just the rag or cloth or whatever used to wipe. iBenzer had the best rating at the time I bought it, and the only one that had the jet black in stock at this price point. It came undamaged and snapped on quickly. Both pieces fit securely, and it has seen some transporting around. There's not scratches yet on the case, but I fully expected there to be at some point. That's why the case is there. Whether that happens sooner or later I don't think matters. As long as it protects the computer. You should avoid dropping your Mac at all, and take precautions as necessary. If you feel you're environment makes this more likely, get a bulkier more shock resistant case. This case seems great for keeping off scratches, dust and maybe the accidental spilled drink, when closed, but I wouldn't count on it not to break or protect Mac in a fall. Awesome if it does. I found the keyboard protector DOES NOT stick to the monitor. I have the later 2015 model 841 Macbook pro, seems like there's a bit of a recess on the screen to help prevent this. It feels weird still typing on the key protector, but these things are pricey and I'd rather take the time to get use to using it than to have debris and crap get into the keys. I'd buy this again. For anyone searching and reading reviews, know your expectations, know the price point you're looking at and pick one brand to try. I got a good one.
