## Description

Pack of 2 filters - CoffeeSock filters are durable and may last a year or more. CoffeeSock filters are a reusable alternative to paper filters and nylon sacks. All of our filters out-perform any comparable disposable and reusable filters. Cotton absorbs some of the oils released from coffee beans yet lets acids pass through. The resulting cup is clear crisp, rich and robust with all the acid of paper brewed coffee, without the paper taste, and all of the richness of French press without the heavy oiliness. CoffeeSock filters are made with Certified Organic Cotton. Cotton imparts no flavor on the finished brew unlike paper. Cotton is 90% cellulose, which is a tasteless and odorless compound that is insoluable in water. Wood is 40-50% while Hemp is approximately 45% cellulose. CS filters are made in Austin, Texas. All filters are sewn and packaged by happy human beings making a fair and living wage.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Works great, highly recommend

Love this sock for making cold brew at home. Just grind the beans, put them in the sock, bloom (wet) them, close the sock, and pop it in a pitcher of filtered water overnight. The next morning, just pull out the sock. No more paper filters and multiple strainings to get rid of all the grounds. I've found a 4:1 ratio works best for making cold brew concentrate the way I like it: strong. I know some people make hot coffee out of the concentrate as well as iced, but I have yet to try it hot. I prefer my coffee iced, especially during the summer months. Cold brew is not acidic, unlike regularly-brewed coffee, because the beans are never exposed to heat. The slow, cold extraction method also allows the true flavor nuances of beans from different regions to shine through as well. This sock makes the whole process so much easier. Definitely recommend!

    Just buy it

This works like a charm. I'm extremely lazy especially when it comes to making coffee. I just want hold out my hands and it be done. This requires a bit more effort than that but honestly not much. I measured out 4oz of coffee, placed the coffee sock inside the jar flipping the top around the rim of the jar, poured in coffee grounds, folded it closed and placed it in my half gallon mason jar. That's it. 24hours later, I had delicious cold brew. The best part is this doesn't let any fine sludge coffee grounds seep through. Noone wants a mouth full of griity coffee. The last sip is as smooth as the first. Highly recommend. Rinses and dries easily too

Easy to use, travels well, recommended

This is my second one. I used the first one continuously for 5 months (each batch lasting approx 5 days) while on a work trip. It worked very well. I didn't have any running water or a place to clean it between uses, so I had to improvise. After pouring the fresh concentrate into an empty water bottle, I turned the coffee sock inside out and dunked in my small pitcher a few times. That seemed to remove 95% of the grounds. Then I wrung it out and hung it to dry from a carabiner using the sock's (extremely useful) metal ring. Every few batches, I'd refill the pitcher with fresh water and soak the sock in there overnight to get it (somewhat) cleaner. Now that I'm home again I've chosen to replace it for my next trip, but I'm sure it would have continued to work for the indefinite future. Cold brew came out smooth. I'd have no problem using this at home either, but I usually make larger batches with a toddy I've had a for years. Can't beat it for long trips, though - I just roll it up and tuck it in a screw-top plastic pitcher and it travels easily.
